212 to 224 (original) (raw)
My last post of movies from 2007. I made it to 224! I'm not sure yet if I'll be listing my 2008 movies. If anyone is interested, I plan on writing a short zine about my year of movies, with lists, longer reviews, and a few little essays/articles about films.
212. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (MST3K) - One of the strangest Christmas movies I've seen, but not THE strangest...that would be...
213. Santa Clause (MST3K) - A Mexican kids movie from 1959 where Santa must save some kids (and their souls!) from a devil named Pitch (yes, Santa and Satan are enemies...) Santa doesn't have elves, just a bunch of "It's a Small World" kids. And his reindeer are giant wind up toys! Oh, and Santa is friends with Merlin...
214. The Painted Hills (MST3K) - Lassie! Snausages?!?
215. A Muppet Family Christmas - Made for TV in 1987. My sister and I watch this every Christmas (we have our old tape with all of the cute 80s commercials!) I love it!
216. The Violent Years (MST3K) - Written (but not directed by) Ed Wood.
217. Code Name: Diamond Head (MST3K) - Pilot movie for a failed tv series (A Quinn Martin production) about spies in Hawaii. Silly 70s fun!
218. The Nightmare Before Christmas - Another Christmas classic!
219. Sweeney Todd - Wow! I love it! Bloody good fun ;)
220. A Christmas Story - One of my favorite Christmas movies
221. Terror from the Year 5000 (MST3K) - Odd scifi about a time machine sort of thing, and a girl from the year 5000 where everything is radioactive and there are lots of mutants! Really weird...
222. Transformers Animated Special - Feature length preview of the new Transformers cartoon. Pretty cool!
223. Robot Monster (MST3K) - Goofy scifi, with the dumbest monster costume ever! A gorilla suit with a space helmet!
224. Gamera VS Zigra (MST3K) - Gamera movies are always fun (how can a giant nuclear flying turtle not be?!)
