I Didn't Make It... (original) (raw)

My final films for this year:

72. Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - I really like how Tim Burton films movies. He's got a great style. Otherwise, this film was only o.k. Loved Depp & Bonham-Carter, but would have loved them more had this not been a musical. I get that this is supposed to be a musical & singing about eating people is pretty cool (?), but I'd love to see this outside of the musical realm.
73. Juno - Click the link for my long-ish post, but shortly, I loved this film. It was smart & witty, fun & funny, sad & (life-)scary. The acting was great. I hope the screenwriter, Diablo Cody, gets an Oscar nom. She deserves it.
74. Elf - My annual holiday viewing. I love this film. It's my favorite "Christmas" movie.
75. Pictures of Hollis Woods - Hallmark Hall of Fame film. It's been a while since I read the book, so I don't remember it well enough to compare, but the film was good. It was a tear-jearker.
76. Adventures in Babysitting - "Don't F*CK with the Babysitter!" Love that line. Great film. Very non-realistic, but fun nonetheless. I've seen this movie too many times to count. I finally asked for it on DVD & got it for Christmas.

...I started anew again today. We'll see where the 2008 list takes me.
