Here is another smallish set for somein30. This one is normal mode. I wanted to do hard mode with the shuffled playlist, but I was having a hard time choosing a playlist, lol! ^^

#1: Let It Go from the Frozen OST (For this icon, I wanted to have an icy feel, so I kept the color palette in the cooler pastel range with blues and lighter purples. I also added the triangle texture to give it a sharper icy feel. The text isn't specific lines from the song, mostly just references to various words from the lyrics such as "kingdom," "queen," and "ice.")
#2: I Will Believe by Nichole Nordeman from the Music Inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia (For this icon, I wanted to portray the reference to dreams as well as the gentle, tenderhearted-ness of Queen Susan, so I used light pastels for the color palette.)
#3: Blueming by IU (For this icon, the lyrics "우리의 색은 gray and blue," which means "our colors gray and blue" and "I feel bloom" are portrayed in the colors. The background, IU's dress, and IU's hair show the blues and grays, while her skin tone is a pink-tone reminiscent of blossoms.)
#4: Shoot Out by Monsta X (For this icon, I used the lyrics "dangerously swaying" while using a pastel coloring that is opposite of the lyrics, lol!)
#5: May It Be by Enya from The Fellowship of the Ring OST (For this icon, I wanted to show the hope of spring and better days, so I used the lyrics "rise to find the sun" and used yellows and bluish greens to give the icons a slightly hopeful, sunny feel.)

Monthly Inspo: In the Monochrome

So I decided to do this month's theme for monthlyinspo. I though doing monochrome would be fairly easy, but I found myself ending up going more towards duo-chrome or bicoloring, lol! Randomly, I decided to make icons of Han Hyo-joo and Lee Jong-suk in the drama W. I really need to rewatch it. It was a really good drama! ^^ I haven't really watched anything new because I've been so busy lately. ^^
This batch is really small, just 6 icons! ^^

Here is a smallish set for somein30. I opted to do ultra hard mode, but I'm planning to do one or two more sets for the other modes.
Text is not usually my favorite thing to do, so ultra hard mode was actually pretty difficult. I had thrown around the idea of doing a Kdrama OST song or maybe a Kpop song, but I didn't think I could make the hangul look good! ^^ I opted to do an English song instead! ^^

I really enjoyed putting this set together, although it was hard because there was so much I wanted to do! I also iconned several idols/groups that I've never iconned before like Ailee, Monsta X, ITZY, and T-ara.

This month's inspiration from monthlyinspo was so inspiring! I remember doing the chocolate's theme (two years ago, I think) and really enjoying the process. This time was no different. I went for more of the colors than anything.

Preview:
I'm really excited about the music round @ somein30! This round was so inspiring, and I really liked being able to use different techniques/styles to show the different genres. I only did 1 icon per genre, but I am seriously considering making another batch.
Just be prepared for a bit of a ramble, lol! I'm in the process of rewatching Memories of the Alhambra with my two sisters and felt like the story really fit with the music genres! So each icon's storyline fits the feel of the genre. I went with extra-hard mode as usual.

So I decided to at least try to finish a small batch for somein30, but I didn't end up making it, orz. But I decided to go ahead and post the three I did do. I think I'd like to come back and do this one if we have a "rewind" round again. I opted to do extra-hard mode (I don't know why, though. I probably could have come up with 20 icons if I had just done normal or hard mode orz).
Also, I wanted to post any icons that I hadn't already posted for 2021. ^^

Another set for iconspirations. I don't think I usually make dark icons, so I thought I'd give this theme a try. For an interesting twist, I tried making some dark Audrey Hepburn icons. Usually, I think of her in terms of pastels or pinks, very feminine themes, and especially My Fair Lady.
