To my darling wife: thank you for everything you've done for me. I look forward to many, many more years of learning how to be even better for and to each other.
To my best beloved riverheart: you are my life, my soul, my inspiration, my heartfire. You are the reason I draw breath. You are the first thing I think of in the morning, and the last at night.
I love you, more than mere words can ever express, in this life and in all the ones yet to come.

rhino. Because he is the only man I'd currently consider having sex with. He's an incredible, funny, caring and clever bloke and I think he's the dog's bollocks!

To my Lolita
You know that my art is in my hands, so I give you the words of a real poet. The sweetness and complexity of what we are creating together has made me think of this poem on several occasions.
She is neither pink nor pale,
And she never will be all mine;
She learned her hands in a fairy-tale,
And her mouth on a valentine.
She has more hair than she needs;
In the sun 'tis a woe to me!
And her voice is a string of coloured beads,
Or steps leading into the sea.
She loves me all that she can,
And her ways to my ways resign;
But she was not made for any man,
And she never will be all mine.

Re: To my Lolita
So I use show tunes instead of classical poetry... so what? :)
It's still true: You're absolutely wonderful and marvelous and beautiful.
:) I doubt you'll know to check here, Ruth Anne, but if you do, I'm glad and flattered that you choose to spend the time with me you do, and it's amazing how much good hearing your voice does my soul.

I'm glad both that you yourself are in my world and that you help open up other interesting world-bits, including inner and imaginary worlds.

Robert,
Never in a million years did I think I'd experience such a wide range of emotions in a single day as I have with you.
It's not all good, but I love you more than anything else, and I often think that marriage would be bliss, if it weren't for all those niggling little things.
Franklin and I love you, wish you a safe return, and miss you.
Let's work a little harder, yeah?
:)
