Hi all

As part of an assignment we have to design a make believe website and as I plan one day I hope to start a small website and graphic design business from home, I thought I would run with that. I already have a large website but it is not suitable to show the teacher or class so had to try something different. I am not used to and still learning how to do other graphics so would appreciate any feedback, comments or suggestions on what I have come up with

Last night my computer crashed and neadless to say I lost everything.

I was wondering if ya'll knew of any good websites for photoshop brushes? I'm still using CS2 fyi.

Word of mouth is the go

• Enlist your family and friends to spread the word about your services
• Send out an email to everyone in your address book, announcing what you do, where you are and what you can offer
• Ask your satisfied clients for referrals
• Offer free consultations to new referrals
• Consider a referral or finders fee

Love those clients

• Get in touch with past and current clients when you have a new service to offer them
• Get in touch with past and current clients when you have completed a flagship project
• Start a newsletter
• Take advantage of every outgoing email by using your email signature as a marketing tool

Wow! I def. need to promote this community. What do yall think about doing theme's on design work? Maybe Christmas cards? Does anyone want to create a banner for the community to help us promote. Normally, I would have by now but I've been super super busy trying to get my portfolio ready and my resume finished.

I'm basically using this community post things I find and I want to read later or if I find something that I think might be helpful to some of you....is it?

This is my first post ever here at a_graphicdesign. I just finished a batch of mini web icons, and I thought that maybe some of you guys would be interested in them :/
