This advancement of social media disclosures has numerous merits and demerits to prevent and control contagious diseases like the Covid-19 pandemic. In this respect, this research scrutinizes the role of creative social media use in preventing the Covid-19 outbreak in Bangladesh utilizing the structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. To this end, this study uses an online survey from June to October 2020 engaging 265 (N = 265) Bangladeshi people as respondents at different ages. The study results establish that creative social media use helps enhance the knowledge of Covid-19 precautions online, and this pertinent knowledge contributes to preventing Covid-19 outbreak in Bangladesh. It implies that creative social media use has a significant indirect effect on Covid-19 prevention, whereas knowledge of Covid-19 precautions online mediates this relationship between creative social media use and Covid-19 prevention. The results also discover that the educational level of the people has a significant direct and positive impact on Covid-19 prevention. Therefore, the study suggests more creative use of social media in preventing the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic in Bangladesh.

The aim of this study is to screen out suitable parents for next hybridization program. The phenotypic coefficient of variations was found slightly higher than the genotypic coefficient of variations for all characters studied, indicating that the apparent variation is not only genetic but also influenced by the growing environment in the expression of the traits. High genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation was observed in length of fruit (27.27% and 27.81%). High heritability coupled with high genetic advance in percent of mean in fruit yield per plant (71.23 and 39.38), number of fruits per plant (71.26 and 31.18), weight of individual fruit (88.52 and 43.80), length of fruit (96.13 and 70.59) and diame...

Using spearphishing emails, adversaries can manage to impersonate authoritative identities in order to incite victims to perform actions that help adversaries to gain financial and/hacking goals. Many of these targeted spearphishing can be undetectable based on analyzing emails because, for example, they can be sent from compromised benign accounts (called lateral spear-phishing attack). In this paper, we developed a novel proactive defense technique using sender email address mutation to protect a group of related users against lateral spear-phishing. In our approach, we frequently change the sender email address randomly that can only be verified by trusted peers, without imposing any overhead or restriction on email communication with external users. Our Email mutation technique is transparent, secure, and effective because it allows users to use their email as usual, while they are fully protected from such stealthy spear-phishing. We present the Email mutation technique (algorithm and protocol) and develop a formal model to verify its correctness. The processing overhead due to mutation is a few milliseconds, which is negligible with the prospective of end-to-end email transmission delay. We also describe a real-world implementation of the Email mutation technique that works with any email service providers such as Gmail, Apple iCloud, Yahoo Mail, and seamlessly integrates with standard email clients such as Gmail web clients (mail.google.com), Microsoft Outlook, and Thunderbird.

This paper examined the characteristics of demographic changes and the emerging windows of opportunities and challenges for Oman. It also discussed the policy options. Data come from the national level surveys and censuses as well as the World Population Prospects 2019 Revision of the United Nations. Results The population of Oman grew from less than half a million in 1950 to more than four million in 2015, and expected to reach to seven million by 2055. After 1970, the annual growth rate of population accelerated due to increased immigration of working age population which has increased from less than 1% in 1970 to 44% in 2015. The fertility rate has declined from 8.6 births per woman in 1988 to 3.3 births per woman in 2008, a decline of 5.3 births per woman or 62% decline within a short period of 20 years. Under-five mortality ...

Our findings show clear relationships between leadership and climate, employee psychological capital, and employee positive wellbeing. Employees who rated their immediate supervisor/manager as high on transformational leadership tended to also report high levels of organizational climate, wellbeing, and psychological capital. Interestingly, the study uncovered a negative relationship between the length of a respondent’s employment and leadership ratings of their leader. Implications of the findings are discussed and recommendations for further research provided.

Analysis of the data uncovered three major findings. Firstly both public and private Malaysian organizations emphasised various dimensions of sustainable procurement that contradict the results from similar studies in other more developed countries. Secondly, the study uncovered significant variations between public and private organizations in their sustainable procurement practices. Finally, in both the public and private sector, financial pressures posed the most significant barrier to SP implementation, whilst issues of organizational efficiency and transparency provided optimal opportunities for implementing sustainable procurement practices.

Data used in the study was collected through a questionnaire survey from procurement directors and managers. Regression and multivariate-based path analysis was performed to assess the impacts of SP practices. From the preliminary results, a significant association between combined SP practices and organizations' financial performance was found. A mediational analysis was conducted to discover the direct and indirect effects of SP practices on financial performance. There was no evidence of a significant direct impact of the summary measures of SP practices on financial performance, while the indirect impact of SP practices via organizational nonfinancial performance on financial performance was found to be statistically significant. This study contributes to SP practice literature by developing a conceptual model for the outcomes of SP practices and establishing statistically significant relationships between SP practices, organizational financial performance, and mediating factors.

In this experiment, aerodynamic forces are discussed with different Reynolds numbers of Re = 0.5 × 10 5 , 1.0 × 10 5 , 1.5 × 10 5 and 2.0 × 10 5. Furthermore, for the puropose of clarifing the impact of turbulence intensity, the aerodynamic forces characteristics of HAWT airfoil are estimated in the case of different turbulence intensities generated by static turbulence grids. According to the wind tunnel experimental analysis, it can be known that the blade boundary layer tape has no significant effects on the drag coefficient with or without turbulence grids. For the low turbulence intensity (without grid), the airfoil performance is improved when the boundary layer tape is attached near the leading edge. For the high turbulence intensity (with grid), in the case of the Re = 0.5 × 10 5 , the pressure coefficient presents a steady value from some back positions of x/c = 0.20, where the boundary layer tape is attached on the trailing edge position.

The results are based on data collected from survey of Malaysian low-income households carried out in January 2010. The study employed a multiplicity of econometric and statistical techniques to identify factors that influenced social capital declination, which appears to yield more credible results. Evidence indicates that the erosion of social capital resulted from the global financial crisis had embedded in the society. The study found that the stock of social capital at the family and community level declined in 2009. The study also found that the intensity of social capital erosion varied across the location; occupation, ethnicity, gender, and education level of household. This study recommends that Malaysia should develop a more comprehensive social safety net which should be in line with the lull in economic growth and changes in the demographic and f...

Thus make them self-reliant by enhancing their resilience. Study Methodology: included a literature review and a household survey for a total of 443 household interviews. In addition, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) were conducted with the rural population and other stakeholders respectively. Field visits were made to all the 8 sites in the two districts Serenje and Chitambo. The main constrain of sustainable livelihood in the communities, included, low levels of education and skills, low levels of asset holding, weak local institutions and unfavorable legal and institutional frameworks. But the respondents registered a wide variety of NTFPs based livelihoods obtained from forests resources (15). Most important usage includes land for cultivation, fuelwood, poles for construction, charcoal production and use of NTFPs (collection of mushrooms, wild fruits and nuts, caterpillars, honey production and medicinal plants). The livelihood activities remains largely subsistence and for safety net functions. Trade resulting into incomes generation is minimal, unstructured and therefore unsustainable. In conclusion: commercialization of NTFPS and PES activities may be the solution to sustainable livelihood and forest conservation. A range of specifically forest sector elements would also need to be addressed, including, entrepreneurship, market and skill development for forest product and services delivery; embracing these elements will also require new kinds of enhanced institutional arrangement.

The overall cost of the SB-VAWT primarily depends on the proper selection of an appropriate blade shape or airfoil to achieve desired aerodynamic performance. In this article, an attempt has been made to perform detailed design analysis with MI-VAWT1, which is a special purpose airfoil designed for smaller-capacity SB-VAWT. The present investigation has attempted to explore the viability of several innovative design concepts like alternative blade materials and incorporation of wing tip devices to reduce the induced drag of the blades of a SB-VAWT. It has been found that blades manufactured from pultruded fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) are superior to conventional aluminium. Also, the aerodynamic performance of MI-VAWT1 is better than that of conventionally used NACA 0015.

The local macroeconomic factors are industrial production, inflation, changes of expected inflation, term structure, exchange rate and oil prices. We also employ a global version of a single factor model to test the effect of global risk factors proxied by the world market index on industries' stock returns. The industries chosen are banking, chemicals, insurance, telecommunication and utilities. The results based on the multifactor model show that local risk factors have a strong explanatory power in explaining the variations of the monthly excess return of the S&P 500 index. A significant relationship is found between local risk factors and the industries' stock returns. Our findings also show a significant positive beta coefficient associated with the world equity index related to each industry.
