Mangrove ecosystems provide a variety of environmental services including absorbing carbon and contributing to climate change mitigation, protecting coastal areas from storms, tsunamis, and erosion. In addition to providing a variety of environmental services, these ecosystems are also habitats for a variety of living organisms, both aquatic and terrestrial, resident and migrant, also nationally and internationally protected species. The benefits provided by mangrove are contrast to the rate of degradation, which has the potential for loss of wildlife habitat and a decrease in biodiversity value, especially mammals. This study was conducted to analyse the value of biodiversity, especially mammals in the Mangrove Ecotourism Area, Pesawaran Regency. This study uses the method of line transects, mist nets, and sound identification. The results of the study recorded 6 species of mammals with a spec...

ABT has been successfully synthesized through physico-chemical activation at 700°C with H3PO4 10% solution as activator. The resulted were porous surface structure of bamboo charcoal causes an absorption interaction of pollutants (cations, anions, and suspended solids/TSS) in wastewater. Bamboo charcoal has different physical characteristics from charcoal from other types of raw materials because the structure with lignin composition is different from charcoal from other wood. The spectral patterns of AB and ABT are similar but differ in intensity. The functional groups detected in the two materials are the same, but there are differences in the absorption intensity where the ABT is relatively lower, especially in the hydroxyl functional groups at around 3400 and 1600 cm-1. This decrease in intensity is due to...

Research paper thumbnail of Measuring the Effectiveness of Community Development through Social Return on Investment (SROI) Method: Case Study of PT Bukit Asam Pelabuhan Tarahan, Lampung, Indonesia

Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Social and Political Enquiries, ICISPE 2021, 14-15 September 2021, Semarang, Indonesia

SROI method is the most feasible and effective method to measure the social impact of community development in CSR programs. The measurement of the effectiveness of Comdev through SROI carried out at PTBA is focused on assessing and evaluating the implementation of the skewer program which has been running from 2019 to 2021 in Sidomulyo Village, Sidomulyo District, South Lampung Regency. Based on the results of the calculations shows that the SROI Ratio of the skewer program in Sidomulyo Village is 3.32, which means that every investment of Rp. 1,-made by PTBA is able to produce an impact or benefit of Rp. 3.32,-. If viewed from the socioeconomic side, the skewer program can be said to be feasible and successful.

Research paper thumbnail of The Potential of Bamboo Vinegar from PT. Bukit Asam Tbk-Pelabuhan Tarahan to Reduce Leaf Eating - Caterpillars of Caisim (Brassica Juncea L)

PT. Bukit Asam Tbk-Pelabuhan Tarahan, through their CSR program, produces liquid smoke from bamboo plant waste known as bamboo vinegar with the dominant compound component are 31.28% acetic acid; phenol 2-methoxy-guaiacol (12.95%); carbamic acid (11.23%); 2-heptanamine (6.75%) and phenol 4-methoxy-p-cresol (5.56%). This study aims to determine the effect of the application method and concentration of bamboo vinegar on the attack of leaf-eating caterpillars and plant yields of caisim (Brassica juncea L.). This study is a 2 x 4 factorial experiment using a randomized block design with three replications. The first factor is the method of application; pour and spray. The second factor was the concentration of bamboo vinegar; 0 (control); 5 ml/1; 10 ml/1 and 15 ml/1. Data analysis used the F test and LSD test at 5%. The results showed that applying bamboo vinegar by pouri...
