The VUCA concept as an acronym was coined by United States Army War College (USAWC) to describe a chaotic environment such as volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Employees are one of the critical components of companies to sustain business progress in less adverse effects during the age of disruptive innovation. Within these perspectives, each VUCA factor has been analyzed through the scales based on perceptions. This study investigates possible relationships among VUCA factors. Additionally, the relationship between Product Innovation Performance (PIP) and each of the VUCA factors were examined to illustrate the effects. As a result of detailed observations and analyses, each VUCA factor had a significant relationship between them and was categorized in two distinctive but interrelated dimensions using Turkish bus & coach industry as a case study. Especially the ambiguity (b = .646, p<0.05) factor had a high impact on the product innovation performance in the Turkish bus & coach industry. The Covid-19 pandemic, international conflicts, terror attacks, economic instabilities, and the climate change demonstrate that existence of the VUCA concept, that could be accepted as the "new normal" in contemporary times.

Throughout this transformative process, the concept of leadership has evolved towards more diverse perspectives, building on its significance since the Industrial Revolution. Beyond the traditional notion of leadership, the concept of self-leadership emerges as a crucial tool in the rapidly changing dynamics of competitive business environments. Research suggests that the characteristics of self-leadership vary according to individuals' personality structures. Due to the insufficient exploration of studies concerning the relationship between individuals' self-leadership and their personality structures within Turkish culture, this study was conducted. In this perspective, a quantitative research methodology was employed by researchers, with a focus on relational analysis among variables. The study involved the administration of self-leadership and the Big Five personality traits scales to 349 participants. Gender and sectoral differences in the relationship between self-leadership and the five personality traits were also examined. The analyses revealed significant effects of the five personality traits on self-leadership in the overall context (β: .376, p < .05). The extraversion personality trait exhibited a significant impact on self-leadership (β: .322, p < .05). Openness to experience had a significant effect on self-leadership (β: .344, p < .05), as did the responsibility personality trait (β: .348, p < .05). When examined from a gender perspective, the gender factor was identified as a significant variable in the impact of the agreeableness personality trait on self-leadership (β1: .247; β2: .192, p < .05). Additionally, the gender factor was found to be a significant variable in the impact of extraversion personality trait on self-leadership (β1: .271; β2: .382, p < .05). Furthermore, when exploring differences between individuals working in the public or private sectors, the sector factor was identified as a significant variable in the impact of emotional stability personality trait on self-leadership (β1: .243; β2: .337, p < .05).

by Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA), poses significant challenges for organizations
and individuals alike. Recognizing the need for a nuanced understanding of how these VUCA factors are
perceived and experienced, this study introduces the “Perceived VUCA Exposure” scale, a novel instrument
designed to quantitatively assess individuals’ subjective perceptions of VUCA in their professional milieu.
Through a rigorous methodological approach, involving item generation, expert reviews, and pilot-test, the
scale was developed and subsequently validated across diverse samples. The study employed exploratory and
confirmatory factor analyses to establish the scale’s structural validity, while reliability was ascertained through
internal consistency and test-retest methods. The final scale comprises four subscales, each corresponding to
one aspect of VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity). The findings reveal that the scale
exhibits robust psychometric properties, making it a reliable and valid tool for assessing perceived VUCA exposure.
Additionally, the study provides empirical evidence on the distinct yet interconnected nature of the VUCA
dimensions as experienced by individuals in organizational settings. The “PVE” scale holds significant implications
for organizational research and practice. It facilitates a deeper understanding of how VUCA factors impact
employees, guiding interventions to enhance resilience and adaptability in fluctuating environments. Furthermore,
it serves as a diagnostic tool for organizations to identify areas of VUCA that most profoundly affect their
workforce, enabling targeted strategies to mitigate adverse effects and capitalize on potential opportunities presented
by the VUCA world.

Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the workload of doctors has reached excessive levels, consequently affecting their perceptions, behaviors, and attitudes, all of which are outcomes of emotional intelligence. Research has shown that individuals with a high level of emotional intelligence can readily embrace social problems and generate possible solutions by applying social problem-solving skills. This study explored the relationship between emotional intelligence and social problem-solving skills in family physicians by examining the challenges being faced in maintaining society's health during the pandemic. The correlational research design was preferred by researchers to apply the social problem-solving and emotional intelligence scales to family physicians (N= 229) between November and September 2021. Emotional intelligence had a significant impact on the social problem-solving skills of family physicians (β= .251, p<0.05). On the other side, a significant relationship was found between Optimism\Mood Regulation" and "Impulsive Problem-Solving Style" (r= .246, p<0.01), and "Utilization of Emotions" was shown to have a significant relationship with "Impulsive Problem-Solving Style" (r= .317, p<0.01). Emotional intelligence possesses an increasingly substantial role in dealing with social problems effectively. Family physicians should be aware that emotions are crucial in empowering social problem-solving skills during chaotic & challenging times.

This study aims to scrutinize effective methods of manufacturing innovative products that resulted in long-term benefits through the total innovation management (TIM) cycle being used by the X Company (part of the global bus & coach manufacturers located in the USA, Europe, and Turkey) under the competitive market environment. This study was conducted through a case study perspective supported by the "Methodological Triangulation Method," which enables researchers and business executives to observe existing issues utilizing qualitative, quantitative, and interpretive approaches for enhancing the TIM cycle with agility. X Company has expanded its product portfolio with an innovative product family called the "XBUS," which integrated both the digitalization and electricity driveline technology by practicing the TIM cycle. The XBUS product increased company sales by 6.39% in the total amount of sales. X Company increased its market share between 2018 and 2019 in the USA and Europe region by 13.2% and 11.4% respectively, whereas the Turkish market share was decreased by 4.8% due to financial obstacles, including deficiency of commercial credits. Additionally, total production lead time was reduced by 7.4% at X Company by conducting agile innovation processes. Case studies regarding the TIM cycle practices in the global bus & coach industry are limited. These studies can be expanded by observing the main innovation challenges during the Covid-19 outbreak

However, it didn't take long to realize that the machines which weaken humanity's effort by mass production techniques made themselves ineffective at the rapid development cycle and innovative age. In today's business life, economists' inclusion of social and psychological structure as an input in their analysis and examining the role of these inputs in organizations can be considered rational. Emotions and emotions related to emotions, which possess an important role in organizations, affect the sustainability and communication in the organization as well as the process of entering the organization in the life of the organization. Decision-making is the process of finding the best alternative to possess the best result after gathering information about different choices. Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) act as locomotives in all the economies in which they operate. Therefore, the relationship between the emotional intelligence (EI) of SME managers and decision-making strategies is important in terms of both the profitability of SMEs and the structure of the national economy. Consequently, this study aims to observe the relationship between the EI level of managers at SMEs and their rational decisionmaking strategies. As a result of maintained research and analysis, a significant correlation (r: .536) was obtained between optimistic emotion rate and rational decision-making strategies of managers at SMEs.

The VUCA concept as an acronym was coined by United States Army War College (USAWC) to describe a chaotic environment, including volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity factors. After the global financial crisis in 2008, the VUCA concept has regained the importance through management and leadership perspectives. Employees are one of the critical components for companies to sustain business progress in less adverse effects during the age of disruptive innovation. Within these perspectives, each VUCA factor was analyzed through the scales based on perception, and the researcher aimed to investigate possible relationships among VUCA factors. Additionally, the relationship between Product Innovation Performance (PIP) and each of the VUCA factors were examined to illustrate the effects. As a result of detailed observations and analysis, each VUCA factor had a significant relationship between them and categorized in two distinctive but interrelated dimensions under the circumstances of the Turkish bus & coach industry. Although there is a relationship between VUCA's volatility, uncertainty, complexity factors and the product innovation performance of the Turkish bus & coach industry, it is observed that especially ambiguity (r = .346) factor has a high impact on the product innovation performance at Turkish bus & coach industry. The Covid-19 pandemic, international conflicts, terror attacks, economic instabilities, climate change in which humanity has been experiencing nowadays demonstrate that the existence of the VUCA concept may be in the future and can be accepted as the "new normal" occurring in unpredicted intervals of time.
