Frye, brings together Russian and international scholars in the fields of economics and political science. ICSID researchers are affiliated with the Institute for Industrial and Market Studies (IIMS) at the Higher School of Economics and the Harriman Institute at Columbia University, as well as institutions such as the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Emory University, George Washington University, and Trinity College. Moscow is the heart of Russia and its premier metropolis, stretching across the center of the East European Plain along the picturesque banks of the Moskva River. The capital covers more than 2,560 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 156 meters above sea level. Its unique geographical location links the European and Asian parts of the country, making it a vital transport and cultural hub.

Covering an area of about 466 km² and lying at an average elevation of 80–90 meters above sea level, the city’s unique geographical position has made it a major transportation hub and an important economic center of the Volga area. The Strigino International Airport, situated 18 km from the city center, provides direct flights to Russia’s largest cities as well as a number of international destinations.
