Use this portal to complete the online form and schedule your legal advertisement in The Press Democrat, Sonoma Index-Tribune or Petaluma Argus-Courier.

Fictitious Business Names or Abandonments
The cost to publish starts at 79.00forthePressDemocrat,79.00 for the Press Democrat, 79.00forthePressDemocrat,50.00 for the Petaluma Argus Courier or Sonoma Index Tribune, which covers the four-time publication.

You will need to reference your filed Fictitious Business Name Statement or Abandonment that you received back from the Sonoma County Clerk's Office and complete all the required fields as noted on your filed form. Missing/incorrect information will be subject to cancellation or a void publication per the Sonoma County Clerk's Office.

Per the publication requirement, the first publication must begin within forty-five days from the date the statement was filed in the Sonoma County Clerk’s Office. If a notice starts past the forty-five days, the notice will be cancelled, and a refund will occur. Please reach out to the Sonoma County Clerk’s Office since you will have to refile to start the publication within the required amount of time.

Once publication is complete, we will automatically file the Proof of Publication for you with the Sonoma County Clerk's office.

Order to Show Cause for Name Change
The cost is 155.00forthePressDemocrat,155.00 for the Press Democrat, 155.00forthePressDemocrat,138.00 for the Petaluma Argus Courier or Sonoma Index Tribune, which covers the four-time publication.

You will need to reference your filed Order to Show Cause for Name Change, just the NC-120 form and Zoom information that you received back from the Court.

*Please be mindful of which newspaper you chose on your filed form. You cannot choose a different newspaper than the one on your filed form unless you have permission from the Court to do so.

The notice publishes once a week for four consecutive weeks, per the Court requirement. Please make sure you have enough time from when you start your publication to your hearting date, since the notice does have to run for a once a week for four consecutive weeks. Please reach out if your hearing date is less than a month away.

Once the publication is complete, we will mail the Proof of Publication to the County Court as well as email you a copy for your records.

After you complete your specific form, upload your filed document, choose your start date and then you will be asked for pre-payment and emailed a receipt with a copy of the advertisement.
