Iqarus is a world leader in delivering high standards of medical care and internationally accredited medical training in the world’s most challenging operating environments. We work side by side with governments, IGOs, INGOs, militaries and private companies, to provide the medical support which enables them to accomplish their mission objectives with total focus and confidence. We rapidly develop and deliver innovative and scalable turnkey medical solutions, from individual medics to full-scale multi-disciplinary field hospitals, often in areas of high risk. We have over 20 years experience delivering medical training across the globe and from our Immersive Training Centre in Hereford, UK. We currently offer 23 core courses as well as a wide range of tailored training modules designed to specifically meet learner requirements. We pride ourselves in being able to prepare both medical and non-medical learners by providing them with the critical skills and knowledge needed to manage medical emergencies in complex environments. Dr Cat Davison, Regional Medical Director for Europe, Middle East, and South Asia (EMESA) at Iqarus, spoke at the 26th annual Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defense (CHOD) conference, hosted by U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in Kona, Hawaii, this month. Senior military leaders from 28 countries and multilateral organisations attended the conference, titled "The Future Indo-Pacific: Building a Resilient and Interconnected Region". Dr Cat Davison, our Regional Medical Director for Europe, Middle East & South Asia (EMESA), will be speaking at the ICMM – World Congress on Military Medicine on Tuesday 24th Sept in Brisbane. A retired Wing Commander, Dr Davison had a distinguished 21-year career in the Royal Air Force (RAF), where she led teams and provided medical care in challenging environments such as Afghanistan, Somaliland, and South Sudan. As a Staff and Command trained officer, she commanded the Tactical Medical Wing, a unit of over 160 members, ready to deploy medical capabilities worldwide within 24 hours. Dr Davison’s military career culminated as the Executive Officer to the Deputy Commander (3*) of the RAF. Dr Cat will be joined at the event by Thomas Miller Military Health Operations – Pacific and Judy Swann Head of Military Health Services - Pacific - International SOS. -

Thomas Miller, our Military Health Operations Director for the Pacific, will be attending the ICMM – World Congress on Military Medicine from 22-27 September in Brisbane. With a distinguished career in both the Australian Army and Royal Australian Navy, Tom has held numerous full-time and reserve Defence appointments and has been deployed worldwide, including to Fiji, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He has received commendations for his roles in both exercises and operations, including an Army Commendation from the United States Army for his service as the Officer in Command of the Emergency Department at Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) Role 2 hospital. Judy Swann, our Head of Military Health Services for the Pacific, will be attending the ICMM – World Congress on Military Medicine from September 22-27 in Brisbane. With a distinguished background in the Australian Department of Defence, Judy now leads efforts at International SOS to support Defence, Paramilitary, Naval Maritime, and peacekeeping sectors across the Pacific region. Within Defence, Judy played an important role in the Defence COVID-19 Taskforce response, as well as in supporting Pacific Islands police and military forces through the Pacific Islands Maritime Security Program. Judy has extensive experience across the Pacific region, with a PhD in Pacific military and police leadership development and as Visiting Fellow Pacific at the Australian War College.
