- At MSD GCC, we believe that our strength lies in our diversity. We recently organized a vibrant Cultural Day, bringing together our employees to celebrate the rich tapestry of backgrounds and traditions that make up our team. Colleagues arrived in colorful national attires, showcasing their unique cultural heritage: from elegant saris to traditional abayas. Employees also shared their culinary traditions, allowing everyone to savor flavors from various regions, fostering a sense of community and belonging. We also organized a fun quiz and team-building activity that strengthened bonds but also highlighted the importance of understanding and appreciating our differences. MSD recently hosted a Lung Cancer Workshop, bringing together leading experts and advocates in the fight against lung cancer, as part of our participation at EOS. A key outcome from this workshop was the announcement of the UAE joining the global declaration call to action for lung cancer care- an important milestone on the country’s journey to prioritize lung cancer on its national agenda. The UAE’s proactive approach and commitment marks an important step in enhancing awareness, research and treatment options for lung cancer patients in the country. Through this initiative, the UAE is not only enhancing its own healthcare strategies hence contributing to its longevity agenda and transforming the patient experience- but also contributing to a broader, collaborative effort to reduce the burden of lung cancer worldwide.
