Academics, researchers, scientists, and artists are constantly transforming and evolving theories and arguments, around the existing streams of Posthumanist thought, Critical Posthumanism, Transhumanism, Metahumanism, discussing whether they can finally integrate or follow completely different paths towards completely new directions. This paper, written for the 1st Metahuman Futures Forum (Lesvos 2022) will focus on Metahumanism and Jaime del Val’s “Metahuman Futures Manifesto” (2022) mainly as an open dialogue with Critical Posthumanism.

Sorgner's insight to contemporary art surpasses the boundaries usually set by art historians and underlines the artists' worldview and the philosophical meaning of their works in the context of the several trends of Posthumanism including social and cultural views and politics. Visual arts and music are studied in parallel with the evolution of posthumanist theories and arguments, while the issues of non-dualities, technology, religion, truth, ethics, reason, leisure, the western philosophies of the past and moreover "the need to coin new terms" are the crucial points of Sorgner's discussion with the readers. The book is more than valuable for its commitment to the notion of the philosophical meaning of contemporary artworks as well as for its opening to a new understanding of Posthumanism.

inner view to the private as political in gender-orientated autobiography. Persepolis albums concentrate major characteristics of parallel kinds of narratives as political fiction or contemporary philosophy, while at the same time they are opened
to a wide range of matters such as the social gender, identities, immigration, refugees, orientalism. Born in 1969 in Rasht,
Iran, Marjane Satrapi was only a child when fundamentalists came to powerin her country and social life changed, especially
for women. Marjane studied at the Lycee Francais in Tehran and later left for Vienna and Strasburg. Having studied Fine
Arts and illustration, she now lives and works in France. Persepolis is an illustrated report of Marjane’s life from the prerevolutionary period to adulthood, describing the shaping of a young woman’s identity between a fundamentalist East and
an orientalist West.

The accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine, Soviet Union on April 26, 1986. In 1997, seven scientists involved into the accident leave Ukraine for health reasons. They settle on Gavdos, a small island south of Crete, the most distant border of Europe in the Mediterranean. They remain there for about fifteen years and initially have a major positive interaction with the local community, leading a Pythagorean School and several philosophical group meetings, public work, and constructions. During this time, they evolve a new philosophical approach to humanity, the option for immortality, based on what they call “Philosophical Evolution”, a combination of Pythagorean teaching and the ideas of Epicurus, and also specific views that can be related to critical posthumanism and transhumanism.

Multimedia applications afford places invested with synaesthetic and representational potentials that evoke intellectual and emotional involvement, “with the visual reinforcing the tactile, the physical reinforcing the intellectual”. In this way, the content is shown in an environment with narrative structure. The regulation of the flow of the experience provides interactive facilities that surpass the limits of the physical world.

Such a classification is very important in Comics Art theory since the determination of any classes of similarities in such kind of data will provide to art-historians very fruitful information of Comics Art's evolution. To establish this, we use a categorical data set and we study it by employing three categorical data clustering algorithms. The performances of these algorithms are compared each other, while interpretations of the clustering results are also given.

The aim of this chapter is to record and analyse the ways in which the
representation of the past has been constructed by large groups of
specialists or laymen, from Renaissance Humanism to the Posthumanist
digital present, when contemporary technological developments and
capabilities have opened new directions for archaeological research,
turning digital creators and new scientific experts into administrators of
archaeological images. We are therefore going to compare the analogic
and the three-dimensional images as archaeological tools and also as
humanistic (New Archaeology) and postmodern/posthumanistic (Post-
Processual Archaeology) media beginning from virtual archaeology.
“Virtual archaeology” is a developing scientific area using the
capabilities of computers to concentrate, catalogue, group and promote
archaeological material in a range of different ways and media for a wide
spectrum of applications. Virtual archaeology substantially rehabilitates
the geometric relationship between archaeological and architectural data
and describes in visual language the researcher’s verbal descriptions and
theories (Reilly, 1992, 147; Higgins, Main & Lang, 1996; Forte, Siliotti,
1997). The digital image, static or animated, is the final result of the
research and interpretative procedure in the theoretical framework of Post-
Processual Archaeology.

It also explores the ways social sciences and humanities are affected by posthumanism, and it asks how posthumanism can be an expansion of humanism in the contemporary world, rather than a transcendence of humanism. The chapters' authors come from different countries, cultural backgrounds and study areas to present a varied perspective on posthumanism.

The papers of this conference were later published in a book under the title "Μεταξύ Φαντασίας και Πραγματικότητας. Σκέψεις και απόψεις για τα Κόμικς" (Between Imagination and Reality. Thoughts and Views on Comics), funded by a national programme and published by my department (Department of Cultural Technology and Communication - University of the Agean, Mytilini-Lesvos-Greece) in 2005.The editing team was ICONOTOPIA, a research group consisted by four members (Evi Sampanikou, Abraham Kawa, Panos Kritikos and Myrto Tselenti) affiliated to the Cultural Informatics Research Lab of the Department. I think this is an interesting volume to explore nowadays, almost 20 years later, to see how the comics research in my department started. It is still continued.

THE ICONOGRAPHY AND THE STYLE OF THE WALL-PAINTINGS OF THE THREE HIERARCHS CHAPEL IN BARLAAM MONASTERY, METEORA 1637, ARE SYSTEMATICALLY ANALYZED IN THIS PH.D DISSERTATION. THERE IS AN ATTEMPT FOR THE FORMATION OF AN OUTLINE OF THE HISTORICAL CONTEXT OF THE ARTISTIC PRODUCTION IN THE AREA OF CENTRAL GREECE AND THE PLACEMENT OF THE MONUMENT IN BALKAN PAINTING IN GENERAL. THIS IS SUCCEEDEDBY SEARCHING FOR THE ORIGINS OF THE DECORATION IN THE PREVIOUS CENTURIES, ESPECIALLY IN THE 16TH CENTURY AND THE CRETAN SCHOOL IN ATHOS AND METEORA. A SERIES OF 17TH CENTURY MONUMENTS IN THE AREA OF CENTRAL GREECE IS ALSO EXAMINED FOR THE PLACEMENT OF THE CHAPEL'S PAINTING IN THE SPECIFIC AREA AND ERA. THE WESTERN INFLUENCES ON THE PAINTERS' WORKSHOP ARE ALSO SET. MOREOVER, A GENERAL SEARCH FOR OTHER WORKS OF THE PAINTERS' GROUP TAKES PLACE. FINALLY, A CATALOGUE OF LATER 17TH CENTURY MONUMENTS IN CENTRAL THESSALY IS GIVEN, AS AN INITIATIVE FOR FUTURE RESEARCH.
