It is commonly known that Greece has a natural advantage of abundant solar energy and wind power due to its geographical location and characteristics. The main focus of this study is to examine how wind energy potential across the Aegean Sea and continental Greece can provide a promising field for investments in Greece, considering the economic crisis, current trends and future perspectives. We firstly focus on current legislation framework considering that laws associated with such types of investment in Greece are very complex and rapidly changing. Furthermore, a case study for a hypothetical investment plan concerning a wind park located in an Aegean island will be presented. RetScreen which is a software made by the Canadian government, will be used as a decision support tool for analyzing the potential investment scenario and a financial report will follow with estimation of the overall cost, depreciation, upcoming benefits, and payback period of the investment. Data analysis concludes that wind parks still prove to be an economically viable investment, although incentives considering the guaranteed price per kwh and faster investment times must be provided by the government.

Business operation, effectiveness, growth and profitability depend on the employees' conduct and performance. Especially in service providers such as fitness centers and sport organizations, job performance is a critical and decisive factor which contributes to the success of the organization. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the job performance of physical education graduates who are employed in fitness centers and municipal sports organizations. 320 physical education graduates were evaluated, 146 of whom are employed in private gyms and 174 in municipal sport organizations. Regarding the sex of the participants, 144 were men and 176 were women. The evaluation of fitness trainers took place in 42 private fitness clubs and 28 municipal organizations. The evaluator was a person with a clear picture and view of the performance of the employees such as fitness managers, supervisors of the municipal programmes "Sports for all" and private fitness clubs owners. In order to evaluate the performance, a Multifactor Job Performance Assessment Model of employed physical education graduates was used, which assesses personality traits, professional attitude, cognitive development, leadership skills, general and specific job performance with the help of six questionnaires,. The validity and credibility of the questionnaires have been sufficiently proven. The Multivariate Analysis of variance (MANOVA) pinpointed that physical education graduates who are employed in private fitness centers show higher levels of extraversion, emotional stability and openness to new experiences while they develop more positive interpersonal relationships compared to their colleagues in municipal sports organizations. Moreover, private fitness centers employees are more intensely oriented towards lifelong learning, creating a vision and intellectual stimulation. Finally, they do better in fields such as planning, organizing and teaching sports programs and also in providing comprehensive quality services to their customers.

Due to the economic crisis in Greece, consumers' preferences and habits are constantly changing. More specifically, with regard to alcohol drinks, consumers tend to decrease alcohol drinks consumption. The alcohol drinks is a highly growing sector of the Greek economy, as there are too many firms operating in the field of imported and domestic products. As time goes by, competition intensifies more and more due to the entry of new brands in the market. There is a wide variety of products, so that even the most 'demanding' consumers can satisfy their preferences. The purpose of this paper is to analyse Greek millennials behaviour towards alcohol drinks. The research tool is a questionnaire distributed to Greek millennial consumers in the area of Athens. The main conclusions drawn from the survey is that Greek millennials despite the economic crisis which has led to a decrease in purchases, they tend to consume alcohol drinks about 1-2 times a week. Therefore, this tendency shows that the evolution of the alcohol drinks industry is possible.

The research sample consists of 130 high schools’ teachers in Greece. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire, concerning teachers’ working environment, their behavior during workplace conflicts as well as their emotional intelligence and were analyzed using descriptive and inductive statistics. The statistical analyses have revealed that the main reason for workplace conflicts in secondary schools is the existence of informal groups. In addition, emotional intelligence seem to have a direct relationship with conflict resolution styles, while a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and the frequency of involvement in workplace conflicts is observed. Furthermore, it was found that holding a position of responsibility does not play a significant role in conflict resolution style adoption. The research resu...

Companies around the world become more specialised and focused on their core competencies and rely largely on niche markets. On the other hand, it is noteworthy that management change is process that undoubtedly generates a perceived efficacy among workforce. This fact may signify the generation of key-organizational behavior indicators, such as job satisfaction. This study is theoretically exploring the relationship between the perceived efficacy of a management change process and job satisfaction.

The basic ingredient for the adaptation of higher education institutions to the challenges they are required to face is the existence of an effective teaching model that will aim to offer a range of constantly improved set of knowledge, skills and abilities.
This paper aims at presenting an effective knowledge improvement-teaching model that will enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of higher education students. The implementation of the suggested model includes a range of innovative solutions that aim a smooth transition from a model that focused on the higher education institution to a more student centered model that will not only meet the student’s expectation but also the requirements of the modern workplace.

The expansion of Information and Communication Technology and particularly the use of web technology have allowed the establishment of networks which enable vast amount of information to be transferred around the globe. Our era can be straightforwardly described as digital. Numerous technological innovations are increasingly pushing organizations to change their business processes in order to adapt into new competitive environment. The most popular technology which appears to have significant impacts on people is the Internet. The web technology allows the establishment of networks which enable vast amount of information to be transferred around the globe (Drosos & Tsotsolas, 2014). The aim of this paper is to study the use of Social Networking Sites (SNSs) in Greece. For the collection of the data, web site questionnaires were used in order to better record the Social Networking views on the service. The survey was conducted within the period September-November 2014. Final input data consist of 410 questionnaires. Generalized linear models (especially multinomial logistic models) are used in order to study the differentiation of social media due to social economic and demographic factors. Moreover with the usage of non-parametric tests the correlation between the use of social media and age is examined. Finally, the influence of the security to the use of social media is studied.

Staff attraction and selection are fundamental processes for modern organizations. Data from 421 questionnaires answered by people employed in the three major mobile telephony firms in Greece have been statistically analysed. The statistical analysis revealed that the most widely used way of applicants attraction is through newspapers. On the contrary the least used way it through the social media. Yet, the analysis showed that employees consider the interview as most the most appropriate selection method. The employees agree with both attraction and selection methods used by the examined firms. As far as the motives are concerned, the most important is the meet of the employees' expectations, while the least important is the prestige of the position. The study of the research results shows that the mobile telephony firms operating in Greece should continue to use interviews as the major staff selection method. As for the staff attraction methods, the examined firms may have to focus a bit more on the use of social media such as LinkedIn. These results may be used by the human resources managers in the staff attraction and selection process.

For this purpose, a survey was conducted using a sample of 400 residents in an urban area of the Attica region in Greece. The methods of Principal Components Analysis and Logit Regression were used on a dataset containing the respondents' views on various aspects of RES. Two statistical models were constructed for the identification of the main variables that are associated with the RES' usage and respondents' opinion on their contribution to life quality. The conclusions that can be drawn show that the respondents are adequately informed about some of the RES' types while most of them use at least one of the examined types of RES. The benefits that RES offer, were the most crucial variable in determining both respondents' perceptions on their usage and on their contribution to life quality.
