Professional Profile
Fung is currently working in HPE as an Enterprise Architect for the HPE Technology Consulting serving both pursuits and deliveries. He is responsible for solutioning in the areas of Cloud Computing, Converged Infrastructure and Data Center Transformation. Some of the deals that he had involved include Banglalink, Grameenphone & POS Malaysia Cloud Workshops, Singapore Government G-Cloud Roadmap Services, Maxis Clouds, BCSIS G3 Assessment, Global Foundries Server & Storage Consolidation & Migration Studies, Celcom DC Migration Assessment.

His previous role was a Technical Solution Manager from IBM for 7 years managing strategic outsourcing pursuits. Some outsourcing deals that he had involved and solutioned include Al Rajhi Bank, Jone Lang LaSalle, Malaysian Airlines, ASM SAP Hosting, Telekom Malaysia IPCore, Maxis, Affin Bank Rebaseline, DBS and Baxter.

Before that he was an outsourcing solution architect with both HP and Compaq for 5 years. He was responsible for outsourcing solutioning, transition and transformation in the areas of infrastructure management, enterprise application management and business continuity solution. He served both local Malaysia and global customers e.g. Maxis, UMW, Dumex, Royal & Sunalliance, Cagamas, Hong Leong Bank, Atos Origin, Ericsson, British American Tobacco, Japan Tobacco International.

Before joining Compaq, Fung was attached to Ernst & Young Malaysia as IT Consultant, Project Manager and later IT Operations Manager for 6 years. Prior than that, he worked as a programmer in a local software house for 2 years developing accounting and inventory applications using Clipper.

Fung likes to conduct social science research using quantitative, qualitative & mixed methods including tools like SPSS, AMOS, SmartPLS, NVivo and ATLAS.ti. He had delivered conference papers and written numerous business and IT articles published in journals, daily newspapers and HP newsletter. He also lectured in few universities and colleges in both the areas of business and IT management for courses ranged from diploma to master degrees. He has been appointed as reviewer and had performed articles review from Computers in Human Behavior (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/computers-in-human-behavior/), Journal of Mixed Method Research (http://mmr.sagepub.com/), African Journal of Business Management (http://www.academicjournals.org/), European Management Journal (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/european-management-journal/) and International Journal of Educational Policy Research and Review (http://journalissues.org/ijeprr/). He is also PMP certified project manager, Certified ITIL v2 Service Manager, Certified ITIL v3 Expert, Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), IPv6 Forum Gold Certified Network Engineer, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), TOGAF 9 certified, VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC 2019 Skill, AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate, Dataiku DSS L2 Advanced Design Certified, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist and Microsoft Certified Azure Developer.
