Anyway, there are a few blanks because some people informed us that they'd already gotten their banners for these weeks done. If you, like these others, have gotten your banner at custom_banners, please tell us! Reply to this post, or something =P Remember to reply if I screwed up or anything along those lines! Hey, it's plausible- I was working on some of these in the wee, wee hours of morning. Heh. Heh. Heheheh.

Week 29 reminder	[

Guys, I know that you know we're going to be temporarily going on hiatus at the end of the week, so why have we recieved only one entry for this theme? Please, for the love of all that is holy, please let akamatsu_awards go out with a bang, and not a whimper! If you're a member of this community and have not yet entered a contest, I urge you to do so now, just for the sake of letting this community live up to its legacy. If we can get eight icons, just eight this week, I'll be happy. Am I aiming too high? Hopefully not, considering the fact that we recieved eleven icons for the first week of this icontest. But please, please, please, please, please don't make me extend this final week of akamatsu_awards; that just would not be cool on so many different levels. It's a pride thing. In any case, here is your submission post for "song titles". Hell, if need be, I will make up a list of songs you can use. Will that make more people participate? Because I'll do it. And, in case any of you had lost hope in us, or some such thing, we're still going to be making and posting banners. Don't worry about it, we'll get rid of this backlog.

This is our last dance.	[

There comes a time in every community's life where everyone has to stop, step back, and wave goodbye; that time is, for akamatsu_awards, drawing near at an alarming rate. As those of you who have been with us from the beginning (or near that) know, generally the same people win, the same people lose, and the same people participate in akamatsu_awards every week, and something like time won't solve this problem. After discussing it a bit, rebmastu and I have decided that, at the end of week 29, akamatsu_awards will go on an indefinite hiatus. I say "hiatus", because there is still a chance that we'll come back. It could be tomorrow, next week, or maybe next month, but as it stands, we all just need a break. Now, no one's posting this to garner a boost of participation for the week (though it'd be nice); I just thought it important that you, as members and a part of the community, got a bit of advance notice so this didn't come as some huge surprise, though I suspect that many of you had already caught on. Because of this, we have also decided that the community will not be passed onto another mod. Any requests or suggestions of this will just make us plug our ears and run in the opposite direction, singing to drown you out.But yeah, you know, life goes on and all that. If you're really heartbroken and love this community, etc etc, reply to this post with your email, and I'll be sure to send out some gigantic message to you all when we start back up. And yes, for all you spazzes who are so concerned about it, the banners will be done after we close.Week 29 theme post

Seven votes, four icons, three participants. Why am I not surprised? Luckily, we didn't end up with a tie, so all's right with the world. It's that time again! Yes, time for a new theme. Huzzah, and all that good stuff. theme one: Song titlesFor this theme, you may use any song titles you can think of, provided that (for the love of God!) the titles are not in japanese. On the other hand, you can use translations of japanese titles. Please be sure to include the full name of the song and the artist with your submission.theme two: Brat-based showdown!You can use any part of this image in your icon.Rules and guidelines-up to two icons may be submitted for each challenge. They can both be from the same theme, or from two different ones. Icons that fit both themes are also allowed- IE, an icon that uses the resource provided in theme two may also qualify under theme one.-Icons must be made fresh for this challenge. No reusing old bases or pulling off someone's icon for your own.-Icons must be no larger than 100x100 pixels or 40kb in size. In other words, they must be compatible for LJ.-No crossposting or sharing your icon before the contest is FULLY completed.
