20 FACTS ABOUT MUKAHI NAOKO

1. Naoko is very much as honest as the meaning of his name implies. If he likes you, you'll know. If he doesn't like you, you'll know. If he feels that you're a total asshole and thinks you need to hear it, he'll let you know. And within respectful limits of course, if he think you need a good slap in the face, he'll be more than happy to give it to you.

2. Because of how honest he is, he is a horrible liar. This is why he rarely ever attempts it, as he'll often avert his eyes and stumble over his words while putting an effort to say something untrue. He can sneak a couple of white lies without much difficulty, but it often leaves him with a slight feel of guilt later on.

3. PERSISTANT! Ever had an insect constantly buzz around you? Naoko is like that, but only if he knows you're hiding something and feels he should know. You have to be upfront with him, no matter what. He's a little slow on the uptake of realising when someone's not in a talkative mood or when it's not his business. If you don't want him nagging you, better telling him in the first place than letting him figure it out. It'll save a lot of aggravation on both ends.

4. When first meeting him, Naoko is shy and quite timid. After he gets to know you and gets a hint of who you are, that shy and timid nature will quickly melt away and you're left with a hyper, clingy adolescent who loves to talk.

5. .. Did I mention he's clingy? EXTREMELY clingy. People like to greet with a wave and a 'hello' or 'good morning.' Not him. He'll run up from behind and leap onto your back when you least expect it, wrapping his arms around your neck and shouting your name following it. It's customary. If you don't like it, let him know, otherwise, be prepared for the mini redhead to latch onto your back in the morning at random times.

6. Yes. Naoko IS a boy. He really is fourteen years old, too.

7. Naoko's favourite colours are orange and red.

8. Off the courts, while hyper and talkative, Naoko is quite softspoken. On the courts, though, his personality almost does a total 180 switch. He becomes very serious and focused, on occasion acting quite arrogant when he plays. He's not so cocky that he lets it get to his head, but he loves pointing a racquet at his opponents and challenging them. He constantly loves to test his abilities, therefore is not so hard on himself if he loses.

9. He wears his heart on his sleeve. This goes with his inability to lie and his honest nature. When upset, you'll know it; just take a good look into his eyes and you'll see it. Also, when he lacks to cling to people and shout his greetings, it's an almost given that's something's wrong - be it him feeling ill or in a bad mood over one thing or another.

10. With Gakuto as an extreme sports instructor, and Eiji as a gymnastics teacher, Naoko has experience and a love for many things. Gymnastics is a very big part of his life next to tennis. He lives in the air, and it wouldn't be a surprise for him to spend most of his time in the gymnasium at school. When he's not at the gymnasium, you'll often see him with parents in Sendai doing bungee jumping. If not bungee jumping, take a look to the skies! He might be sky diving. He wants to take a hand at rock climbing one day.

11. Naoko has adopted Gakuto's love for nattou. Preferably, he likes it with ramen.

12. Naoko loves collecting music from all over the world, especially from America. His family taught him about the several different genres of music, to which he holds techno, dance and trance close to his heart. It keeps him going and gives him a boost of energy. Armed with headphones with an adjustable volume change right on the cord and his MD Player in his pocket, he'll often be seen listening to something with an upbeat tone.

13. Hygienic much? Naoko likes to keep clean as much as possible. Oftentimes if he has the time, he'll take a quick shower after each practice, and a long one after school once he gets home. He takes great care of his body, brushing his teeth twice daily and keeping an travel pack of mouthwash with him. He also brushes his hair down and lets it dry and style itself naturally. It's almost an obsession; he just considers it a natural and healthy habit.

14. Naoko is very physically sensitive. He's highly ticklish, and any sense of touch to him he reacts to instantly. From the ends of his hair to the tips of his toes, he's wired very finely; there's almost virtually no change of him to suffer a delayed reaction with physical constact.

15. Want to fluster him easily? Compliment him. Naoko feels he knows his limits and standings and will often not compare himself to others. Praising him highly will often get him to act flustered and stutter. He appreciates it, but it never ceases to surprise him.

16. Naoko has a horrible fear of dogs. When he was younger he had been attacked viciously by a large dog, which bit and made a rather large wound on his upper right shoulder. He recovered physically, but he doesn't trust dogs in the least bit. In fact any animal with large teeth leaves him frightened. To this day he still has the scar on his shoulder from the attack, but is self conscious about it. He won't show it to anyone.

17. Need help with chemistry? Go ahead and ask him! Naoko is a chemistry nerd and has no shame in admitting it. He loves the subject and the experiments that need to be accomplished with them, which is interesting to say considering how much he hates math with a passion.

18. Naoko's best friend is Atobe Keigo Jr. He's extremely close to him and is usually seen around him. Other people he's very close to happen to be Niou Shogo, and Fuji Atasuke. He's also quite attached to his brother, Mukahi Hikaru and his little sister, Mukahi Riku.

19. Both Naoko and Hikaru are legitimate brothers. They were born through a cousin of Gakuto's, who was a willing surrogate mother for both children through a long plan and many legal agreements concerning the two. Their mother maintains a lot of contact with them, and it's known to them that she is their birth mother, however she treats them like her nephews, while Gakuto and Eiji are his guardians and parents. Riku was adopted by the couple a couple of years later. Despite this, they all behave like natural siblings. There's no seperation or comparison to their origins.

20. While he refuses to admit it, Naoko can be quite lazy. There are days when he's supposed to train and stretch at certain times, and where will he be? Curled up in bed, as he loves to sleep. He really aims to try to get his required hours of sleep and then some.
