The aims of thisresearch are: (1) examining communication pattern of single parents in transforming children’s independency; (2)analyzing the correlation between surroundings and the characteristic of single parents to communication pattern;(3) analyzing the correlation between surroundings and the characteristic of single parents to children’sindependency. This research employes qualitative approach and survey method by collecting data throughquestionnaires with 25 single parents who are determined by having legal documents issued by YogyakartaReligious Court, in-depth interview with 10 single parents. Then, data is analyzed descriptively. This research aims to describe the verbal and nonverbal communication of Hamur community members and analyze the communication behavior of Hamur community members in responding to compulsive buying using qualitative descriptive methods. Television as a medium that absorbed the largest share of advertising play important roles in the spread of political advertising. Most of the content of the advertising message is directed to candidates imaging by displaying false impressions and circumstances that does not actually. One of the goals of political advertising is currently to persuade audience to participate in election and vote for candidates from a political party who advertise. The effectiveness of advertising political questionable because frequently found groups who does not participate in the election. As part of the marketing communication, advertising can’t work alone to gain public support and participation. Integrated marketing communication is the right solution to help improve political participation other than to be followed by the candidate’s credibility and clarity offered programs of political parties.

Pendahuluan Modernisasi membawa perubahan yang luas di bidang ekonomi, sosial dan budaya. Di bida... more Pendahuluan Modernisasi membawa perubahan yang luas di bidang ekonomi, sosial dan budaya. Di bidang ekonomi terlihat peran perempuan menjadi penting dalam menjalankan fungsi sentral keluarga, sekaligus merupakan sumber daya ekonomi. Peran mereka tidak terbatas hanya dalam pekerjaan domestik di rumah tangga namun juga dalam sektor usaha ekonomi. Data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS, 2001) memperlihatkan bahwa 44,20 persen kepemilikan usaha mikro berada di tangan perempuan sedangkan di sektor usaha skala besar mencapai 10,28 persen. Dampak negatif keluarga broken home pada umumnya berupa gangguan psikologis, perilaku dan emosi. Di kalangan masyarakat berkembang stigma terhadap remaja broken home sebagai remaja yang nakal, tidak bisa diatur, dan memberi pengaruh buruk kepada lingkungannya. Stigma ini menyebabkan mereka kehilangan motivasi dan menarik diri dari kehidupan sosial kemudian mencari pelarian sehingga terjerumus dalam pergaulan negatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) memeriksa pola komunikasi orang tua tunggal dalam mentransformasikan independensi anak; (2) menganalisis hubungan antara lingkungan dan karakteristik orang tua tunggal terhadap pola komunikasi; (3) menganalisis hubungan antara lingkungan sekitar dan karakteristik orang tua tunggal terhadap ketergantungan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode survei dengan mengumpulkan data melalui kuesioner dengan 25 orang tua tunggal yang ditentukan oleh dokumen hukum yang dikeluarkan oleh Pengadilan Agama Yogyakarta, wawancara mendalam dengan 10 orang tua tunggal. Korbannya biasanya mereka yang mendambakan cinta tetapi sibuk bekerja sehingga kurang waktu untuk bergaul yang membuatnya merasa kesepian. Love scammers melihat peluang media baru untuk komodifikasi cinta dan kesepian di dunia maya. However, there are times where the claims are not supported by evidence, hence mislead and confuse consumers in buying the products. Health issues discussed in public sphere are used to show the product benefits compare to other competitors. The aims of this research were to study consumer’s perception toward health claims on TV commercials and the effect of health claims on TV commercials (external factor) and internal factors toward consumer’s decision making in food product buying. Path analysis was used to analyze the effect of external and internal factors. Indonesian Community Care for Schizophrenia (ICCS) is a community supporting people with schizoph... more Indonesian Community Care for Schizophrenia (ICCS) is a community supporting people with schizophrenia and their families through psychoeducation services. These activities are offered via Facebook and face-to-face. This paper examines ICCS’s strategy in using social media to deliver its psychoeducation services. A sample of people with schizophrenia and their families who had a role as caregiver was surveyed for their interpretation of ICCS’s information posted on Facebook. The results showed that the messages were generally understood, and creatively communicated althought there was a lack of variety in the content and infrequent Facebook updates of the activities offered.

However, there are times where the claims are not supported by evidence, hence mislead and confuse consumers in buying the products. Health issues discussed in public sphere are used to show the product benefits compare to other competitors. The aims of this research were to study consumer’s perception toward health claims on TV commercials and the effect of health claims on TV commercials (external factor) and internal factors toward consumer’s decision making in food product buying. Path analysis was used to analyze the effect of external and internal factors. The result of this research shows that consumer’s perception toward health claims on food product TV commercials is easy to understand, attractive, believable and suitable for the condition and the needs of consume, therefore its perception able to influence buying decision making (buying intensity). Indonesian Community Care for Schizophrenia (ICCS) is a community supporting people with schizoph... more Indonesian Community Care for Schizophrenia (ICCS) is a community supporting people with schizophrenia and their families through psychoeducation services. These activities are offered via Facebook and face-to-face. This paper examines ICCS’s strategy in using social media to deliver its psychoeducation services. A sample of people with schizophrenia and their families who had a role as caregiver was surveyed for their interpretation of ICCS’s information posted on Facebook. The results showed that the messages were generally understood, and creatively communicated althought there was a lack of variety in the content and infrequent Facebook updates of the activities offered.
