Especially, the prediction of geotextile’s aging-time has become one of the focuses nowadays. In this study, four types of nonwoven geotextiles was used in tests, which are heat bounding, needle punched, chemical adhesive, and supporting by thread. The modified EPA 9090 test method was applied to compare the chemical resistance in pH 8 for agricultural wasting water in Syria. The immersion conditions are 30~90 days under 25°C and 50°C respectively. On other hand, chemical resistance of these nonwoven geotextiles was estimated by the average retentions of mechanical properties before/after exposure in the above chemical solution. However, the relied mechanical properties are grab tensile response, trapezoidal tear strength, and CBR puncture strength testes. In addition, we have compared between specimens in related to pore size volume, thickness, weight per m2, and row material. Transmissivity of geotextile for drainage were slightly decreased in pH8 solution. Finally, needle punched nonwoven geotextile has the best resistance to the tensile, tear, and puncture before and after aging.

In other words, the use of building materials that improves the thermal performance of the building. Concrete samples were designed and molded with a fixed percentage of coarse pozzolan as 34% and fine pozzolan as 11%, and variable perlite percentages between 0% to 48%, the rest was lime sand, The compressive resistance of the resulting samples, their dry densities, and their thermal conductivity were measured and the relation between these variables was investigated in order to be used in the thermal and structural design of the building. The results showed that the replacement of limestone with perlite led to a clear reduction in thermal conductivity which reached 0.237 W/mk.

International Journal of Advanced Trends in Computer Science and Engineering, 2020

This research is part of the national project for the recycling and reuse of demolished building ... more This research is part of the national project for the recycling and reuse of demolished building and infrastructure in Syria. It is an attempt to find a lightweight concrete mix with local components suitable for use in the concrete mixes with acceptable resistance to pressure and low thermal conductivity and good workability. Syrian Pozzolan aggregate (PA) was used with recycled concrete (RCA) aggregates to manufacture concrete mixtures for use in a concrete mixes or in the outer cover of the buildings, as slabs of inclination on the last roofs, and in the non-load-bearing exterior walls to benefit from it as a thermal insulator and get rid of important quantities of rubble that constitute an environmental and economic damage on the government in the reconstruction phase. A practical program was designed to include 12 groups for mixing concrete samples, where groups were distributed as follows: 6 groups, natural aggregate (NA) were mixed with PA, and also 6 groups, PA were mixed with RCA. The replacement percentage of PA was 90%, 85%, 80%, 75%, 70%, and 65% of NA and RCA. Replaced PA was from the total volume of NA due to the different densities. The results showed that the compressive concrete have good values related to the Syrian standard, and the thermal conductivity decreased very significantly. The use of 90 %PA with 10% RCA is an optimum ratio, as CSC value was 58 MPa, considered relatively high, density was 1529 Kg/cm3 and it is light compared to ordinary mixtures of more than 1800 Kg/cm3, for thermal conductivity it is also low. The use of PA and RCA improved the thermal performance of concrete mixtures with a relatively lightweight.

Whereas, mathematical models provide mathematically proven optimum solutions to problems. This research aims to exploit the huge quantities of fine recycled aggregates (FRA) from the destroyed buildings and infrastructure of the city of Aleppo to design a cement-based waterproofing concrete mixes, by developing a mathematical model. The optimum proportions of the materials included in the composition of cement-based waterproofing concrete mixes have been founded by this model which is derived and solved by a simulated annealing method. Experimental results showed the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed model in determining the optimal quantities of the mixture content with a minimum cost according to the required engineering conditions.

Among these pollutants is raw materials mill dust (RMMD), it is a dust produced during the grinding of raw materials. RMMD differs in chemical composition from cement kiln dust (CKD), where CKD is a by-product that collects in the electrostatic filters of a cement kiln. A lot of studies have been done around the world to find effective ways to recycle CKD and use it again in soil stabilization to avoid the failure of the entire pavement in the future as well as an economical and environmental solution, while there is a dearth of research done on RMMD. In this study, the performance of a weak subgrade for one of the sites in Aleppo city was examined, where its physical and mechanical properties (plasticity index, maximum dry density, optimum water content, and California bearing ratio (CBR)), were determined. During their operation period and under the effect of an external effort, these materials can be submitted to cracks or ruptures which can cause the disaster of their structure. In order to avoid these types of problems, the analysis of these materials is necessary. This analysis is based essentially on the internal structure of an orthotropic material, its geometry, its boundary conditions and its external applied conditions. The analysis of the static behavior of a thin orthotropic bi-dimensional plate under the effect of external efforts is treated. The analytical method is used. For modern technologic needs, a good knowledge of the structure vibratory behavior is necessary in the design. Thus, a bibliographic research of multilayer plates made from composite materials and the theory of linear elasticity are discussed. Then, static analysis of the multilayer plates under the effect of a constant force located at the center is studied in order to find the displacement at this point. Parametric study is also treated.

used in buildings significantly affect the energy and environmental
performance of these buildings. In this paper, the thermal
performance of the doctors and nurses housing building in Aleppo
walls, consisting of the hollow blocks with inside styropor sheet and
compare it with a wall consisting of hollow blocks with eternal
continuous insulating styropor layer and the effect of adding
continuous insulating layer on the existing walls.
The study showed that the use of the block with inside styropor slice
was not useful regarding the thermal behavior and causing large and
intense thermal bridges generation. However the use of block with
continuous styropor layer made the temperature distribution more
uniform and reduced the energy flux by 36.7-70%.As a result of
adding continuous thermal insulating material (polyurethane)of 2 cm
thickness on the current wall with single windows glass, the fuel
saving was 13.6% and 26.3% with double glass and 29.8% when
increasing the thickness to become 3 cm.
