REMERCIEMENTS The \Vaterfowl census organised in Morocco in January 1995 covered 89 sites, comprising ail the large wetlands of the country. The 450.000 birds counted constitute a national record: they \Vere distributed principally on three regions: the NorthWest (45%). the South (29.3%) and the Centre-Atlantique (21.8%). ln the NorthEastern and the Atlas regions, few numbers of wintering birds \Vere counted (respectively 2,4% and 1,6%). This distribution is due essentially to the severe winter drought, since the majority of the birds were counted in the large coastal sites and the dams, permanently tlooded. Therefore, the highest concentrations were recorded in the Atlantic coastal lagoons (Merja Zerga, baie d'Ad-Dakhla, complexe de Sidi Moussa-Walidia) and in the largest reservoir in Morocco (Barrage d'AI Massira). The waders constitute 46.4% of the total number of wintering birds, followed by Ducks (24,6%), Gulls and Terns (17,4%) and Coots (7,4%), the latter group being inlow numbers. Amongst the rare or endangered species, the Marblcd T cal. the Ferruginous Duck, the Crested Coot and the Purpel S\Vamphen showed low numbers, while a significant increase may be mentioned for the Audouin's Gull. the Moroccan Cormorant, the Osprey and the Corn mon Crane. Finally it should be noted that three Siender-B illed Curle\Vs have been observed, two amongst them being outside of Merja Zerga, the habituai wintering site of the species. Nous remercions tous les collaborateurs qui ont participé à la réalisation de ces recensements. ainsi que les organismes qui les ont aidés à le faire (Institut Scientifique, GREPOM, BirdLife, Administration des Eaux et Forêts).

The adsorbent was characterized by X-ray diffraction, BET surface area, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and dispersive energy of spectroscopy (EDS). The effects of various experimental parameters were examined such as contact time, initial dye concentration, adsorbent concentration, solution pH, and temperature. In order to determine the best-fit-isotherm, the experimental data were analyzed by the Freundlich and Langmuir equations. The adsorption equilibrium was well described by the Langmuir isotherm model with maximum adsorption capacity of 125mg.g −1 for MB and 91mg.g −1 for CR, at room temperature. The kinetic data were analyzed using pseudo-first-order and pseudo-s...

In some cases, they have a productive activity to help in increasing the family income; such as having a small home industry, etc. Therefore, in supporting their economic activity, media or Information Communication Technology (ICT) is not significantly becoming a point to raise the family income or to improve the quality of society development. While in some countries, ICT is part of poverty reduction program, could help in increasing the family economy and also is used by women for their productive activities. Thus, it is also needed the women's role, while so far, it is not calculated in. This paper is to explore about how media ICT could be part of women empowerment in helping to improve their family income especially for rural area. The result shown that in some developing countries, ICT has benefit for women in improving the family income.

In humans, it is processed from a 1200 amino acid precursor protein encoded by 24 exons within a 127 kb gene. The mature region is encoded by exons 20 and 21. EGF has been a potential feed additive since it has been shown to improve nutrient uptake and reduce intestinal infection in animals systems. Despite this economic promise, EGF sequence has not been reported from any ruminant sp. In this study, we report the first isolation and sequence characterization of genomic fragments encoding the mature region of a putative ovine EGF. We have isolated using PCR, two fragments spanning exons 20 and 21 respectively of the ovine EGF gene. Analysis of the nucleotide sequence from the two fragments shows 70% and 62% homology respectively with the published human EGF gene sequence. The exon-intron junctions are also conserved between the two s...

In barley, sequence-based methods such as whole-genome resequencing, exome capture and genotyping-by-sequencing have been implemented to detect and genotype single-nucleotide polymorphisms across the genome. Integrated analyses of these variation datasets will greatly benefit from the positional information provided by the linearly ordered, highly contiguous genome sequence assembly of cv. ‘Morex’ generated by the International Barley Genome Sequencing Consortium. In this talk, I will give an overview about the genotypic datasets collected in recent years using different resequencing strategies and discuss the genomic distribution of genetic diversity in context of the map-based reference sequence of barley. These watermarking techniques are still very sensitive to degradations produced by the print-scan process. This paper investigates a watermarking technique in the Fourier domain that is robust to degradation produced when an image is printed in physical support then rescanned. The watermark is embedded in a middle frequency band of the discrete Fourier transform of an image using the improved spread spectrum technique. Some image restoration techniques were implemented. They were tested on images which were watermarked, printed and then rescanned before the watermark extraction. Experimental results clearly show the advantage of using the proposed approach.

Kinetic parameters were experimentally determined and an apparent first order kinetic was observed. For photolysis process of fenamiphos, two photoproducts were identified and characterized using High Performance Liquid Chromatography/mass spectrometry (HPLC/MS). The plausible mechanism of photolysis involved is oxidation of sulphonamide group. In presence of photocatalyst, Degussa P25 shows a good photocatalytic activity and a complete degradation was observed after 180 min.

In this study, data from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MODIS) and the Multi-angle Imaging Spectroradiometer (MISR) are used with meteorological data and trajectory analyses to determine the cause of these events. MODIS fire counts put the source as the burning of agricultural waste after harvest season in the Nile delta region. Synchronous MISR data show that these fires create low altitude (<500 m) plumes of smoke and aerosols which flow over Cairo in a few hours, as confirmed by Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory (HYSPLIT) forward trajectory analyses. Much of the burning occurs at night, when an inversion constrains the plumes to remain in the boundary layer (BL). Convection during the day raises the BL, dispersing these smoke particles until the next night.

The diameters of nanofibres usually differ and they depend on various parameters. The different fineness of fibres influences the structure of the web and herewith the end-use properties of such kind of nanomaterial. Analysis of nanofibres diameters distribution also shows big differences; even more, the distributions are not spread along the normal distribution. Understanding the influence of electrospinning parameters and the reason why the shapes of distributions are so sophisticated is very important. The goal of this paper is to analyse the distribution of diameter and to propose the new criterion for nanofibres diameter comparison and web of nanofibres estimation. In this paper the influence of covering time of support material on structure of PA6.6 nanofibre web has been investigated. It was estimated that this parameter does not have a significant influence on the average diameter of nanofibres, and only the structure of web has been influenced by the changes in covering time. According to the results provided the phenomena of nanofibres sticking on the support material at the time of electrospinning can be proved and explained.
