[**mood** |rushed]In 2001 I recorded this CD...This was filmed at the Roseneath Fairgrounds with my best friend, Janette in July of 1994http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZaBQHBMd-MThis community seemed like such a brilliant idea but sadly at the moment my mind has gone blank. It's frustrating when this happens.Okay, bear with me. Recently I decided I want to get back into my music. The songs that I wrote helped me through some difficult times and even though it didn't win any grammys or junos, my CD did win me my soulmate. It's a story I love to tell. He was one of only two peole who ordered it after seeing me advertise it on "Speaker's Corner"I mention one thing I miss these days since I've been married is having my own space for being creative. It's one thing to have the house to myself but our place is so small that working on creative projects means my computer takes up the kitchen table and sewing means I have to set up the card table and take it back down again when I'm done and my husband has to squeeze around me when I'm using it.I also miss hosting parties. Back when I lived in the city I used to have them every month. I mention them in my user info. I guess my livejournal communities are the equivalent...There's guyeeeeeeere where I show my artwork and share links of other artists and whimsical stuff I find. Then there's _wunderkammer_ where people can fill "shelves" with stuff they "collect" and other interesting interactive projects and activities, carouselmagic for people who share my love of carousels, puppetsanddolls where we can share pictures of our home-made dolls and puppets, and travellingdolls where seven of them have been sent on a rather interesting journey. I have more communities than I can sensibly moderate, but that's okay. I usually get back to them sooner or later if I find anything relevant.nostalgiatravel is where I collect things about doo-wop motels and invite people to reminsce about vacations in days gone by.An important part of my past has been involvement with rapidtrabbit's show.rapidtrabbit and I filmed this for his show in 1992http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvoAJaufDUEWe met at the National Carousel Association convention in 1991 in Sandusky Ohio and we've been friends ever since. I created the character Louella Snugglebunny and her series of "Life With Louella" stories on his show. I've got a lifewithlouella community, but it's been hard to get new ideas for her compared to all the mischief the _ewetopia_ sheep get up to.I was born and raised in Toronto, my parents and I moved to Bobcaygeon when my Dad retired and I graduated from high school in 1983, I went to college in Peterborough for a year, lived in Lindsay where I worked as a laundry wench for 8 years, lived in Toronto where I worked as an over-worked, underpaid doll-maker for 8 years and I quit that job in January of 2003, 6 months after I married Dave and moved to Oshawa. These are long stories. I'll fill in the blanks in future posts.Perhaps one of the most important things that has happened during this time since I quit this job, (besides discovering I have Asperger's Syndrome, but let's not go there at the moment..) has been becoming computer-literate. A whole world has opened up to me and sometimes I feel afraid my brain has turned into guacamole from spending too much time here! (LOL, got any tortilla chips?)Seriously folks, it's been great going back to school and taking various computer literacy courses: Grade 10 and 11 computers, desktop publishing and I got my IC3 Certificate...I gotta go. My husband is bugging me to vacate the kitchen. Now you know whay I need a BLUMP!!!!! |
