Founded to support and promote the breeding and enjoyment of American Warmblood Sporthorses.

Part of AWR’s mission is to provide beneficial services for its Members, which enhance and encourage American Warmblood Registry Sporthorse ownership, and to record and preserve the pedigrees of the American Warmblood Registry Sporthorses while maintaining the integrity of the breed.

Goals

AWR has been charged with several major responsibilities. First is to develop the American Warmblood Sporthorse to the highest possible standard in North America through the careful maintenance of their Registries and Studbooks and their annual Breeding Stock Approvals.

Where to Implant a Microchip in a Horse

USEF requires that the microchip must be implanted in the left nuchal ligament of the horse as detailed in their rules. Microchips implanted in any other location (i.e. the tongue) will not meet this requirement, and the horse would need to get a second chip.
