been the center of attention in recent years as they can be
utilized to set up a bidirectional connection to a power grid
for ancillary services procurement. By incorporating Vehicle
to Grid (V2G), this paper proposes a real-time solution to a
non-convex constrained unit commitment (UC) optimization
problem considering V2G parking lots as dispersed generation units. V2G parking lots can be considered as virtual
power plants that my decrease dependency to small expensive units in a UC problem. In this paper, firstly a probabilistic
attendance model of PHEVs in a parking lot is investigated,
while expected number of PHEVs as well as the equivalent
generation capacity of the parking lot is obtained using a
radial basis neural network. Secondly, a particular UC problem considering V2G parking lot is solved using GA-ANN as
a hybrid heuristic method. A real-time estimation of PHEVs
number in the V2G parking lot and real-time solution to
UC–V2G problem associated with load variation makes this
work distinguished, while the proposed method is applied to
a standard IEEE 10-unit test system with promising results.

Artificial neural network (ANN) technique is used to evaluate loadability limit of the power system because of its sensitivity characteristic. Power system restructuring and separation of decision-making organizations of transmission and generation expansion, make coordination between generation and transmission companies more crucial. On the other hand, voltage stability is one of the ...

For a case study, the actual wind speed data of an Iranian Northern-eastern city, Ardebil, is employed in the modeling. At first, the impact of wind generation in power system reliability is evaluated, and then, in order to improve the calculation accuracy, diurnal pattern is used. LOLE (Loss of Load Expectation) and LOEE (Loss of Energy Expectation) as two important generation reliability indices are computed in this study. In the second stage, the study uses ECGC (Equivalent Conventional Generator Capacity) as a reliability index, for the purpose of feasibility studies. Then, this index will be calculated based on mentioned reliability indices, obtained from both Annual and Hourly patterns and finally, comparison will be performed. The results clarify the importance of reliability assessment considering diurnal pattern. Also, for the case study, these results confirm Ardebil is a suitable region for the wind farm installation from a reliability point of view. It is not only because of a good condition of wind speed, but also for the coincidence of daily load profile of network and daily wind regime in the site.

Artificial neural network (ANN) technique is employed to evaluate load ability limit of the power system because of its sensitivity characteristic. Power system restructuring and separation of decision-making organizations of transmission and generation expansion causes the coordination between generation and transmission companies to be as a crucial issue. Furthermore, voltage stability is one of the indicators of power system security level. Therefore, the load pattern of a conventional six-bus power system is improved in this paper and after that, the most appropriate bus for increasing load is determined using sensitivity characteristic of ANN. The strategic interaction between transmission and generation companies for transmission expansion planning (TEP) and generation expansion planning (GEP) is also suggested in a competitive electric...

The aim of this study was to determine whether two FVII gene polymorphisms including: −401G > T and HVR4 influence risk of CVD in Iranian population.MethodsA total of 110 patients with cardiovascular disease that confirmed by angiography (57 male and 53 female, mean age 55.4 ± 10.8 years old) and 110 age and sex match controls (54 male and 46 female, mean age 53.8 ± 9.7) without cardiovascular disease (confirmed by angiography) were genotyped for these two polymorphisms.ResultsAlthough TT genotype of −401G > T polymorphism was at a higher frequency among control group compared to patients (18.1% vs 16.3%), the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). Also carriers of the H7-allele (H7H7) were at a higher frequency among control group in compare with patients group (23.6% vs 21.8%) but it was not statistically significant too (P > 0.05).Conclusion We could not found any association between −401 G > T and HVR4 polymorphisms of coagulation FVII and CVD in Iranian population, but future studies with larger study groups are recommended for more evaluation of these associations.
