The dimmer switch works great! This is a quality lamp.

I had a cheap quality salt lamp because I wasn't sure if i would like them, so spending $5 was a good way to test that out. I ended up loving it, and searched for one that had the aesthetic look I was going for. I'm not going to use the salt balls for massage, but just for aesthetics.

When the lamp is on at it's highest/brightest, I could see it's reflection in the screen of my TV when it's off, but when the TV is on, I can't see the reflection at all. :) Very happy with that.

The base is just the bowl, you have to screw in the bulb and insert the assembly into the case. Very easy.

The cord isn't long, but it's long enough to where I wanted the lamp and it's long enough to reach the outlet source. (I have a small extension cord with a flat plug since the outlet is behind the bed, so the length of the cord works for us)

The bowl is HEAVY and the salt balls are HEAVY as well! Quality lamp that's worth every penny!
