Feels like a good product but came damaged
For the price, I was shocked at the quality. Install was easy and parts work smoothly. However, the knob has a dent right on top. That’s the only reason for the star deduction. There was no damage to the box, it came this way. I didn’t want to roll the dice with exchanging and getting another damaged one.

if you know what you are doing it's easy to install. i didn't but got it after messing with it. feels cheap but fit's standard doors. would recommend youtube to help install deadbolt. door handle is simple

Didn't fit in the hole our old door knob was in. Had to cut a new hole. When we finally got it all installed, it didn't work. Thought we may have put it in upside down. The directions were terrible. Took it apart to find the inner mechanism had completely fallen apart. This is what happens when you buy cheep! We threw it away, and replaced our old one. This time, I'll pay the $30 to get a good door knob.

Great item for the price it’s really made well

We bought a house and didn't get a key for the back door, so I decided to buy this set because it was a third of the price of a locksmith's service call alone. The handle on this also locks, whereas the old one didn't, so now we have an extra layer of security. Install was incredibly easy, so I'm not sure what other reviewers were complaining about... And my only experience with changing door hardware is installing August smart locks and repeatedly fixing the same cheap handle that kept falling off my old door. The only hiccup I ran into was getting the deadbolt direction right. When you put the interior part on, you need to make sure the locking tab is turned to match the lock state of the deadbolt. (You'll know you've done it wrong if you can only lock it from the outside with the key. Just take it off, flip the tab, and put it back on.)
The reason I'm docking some stars is because the quality is really not great. There is a ton of play with the deadbolt's locking tab thing and the finish scratches very easily. I knew scratching was an issue going in, so I was very careful, but still scratched it slightly while tightening the screws. It's not very noticable, but still kind of a bummer. I can't complain too much because the price of this thing is just unbeatable, and it does look great on my door, but I do not expect it to last for very long. I would not recommend it for a front door or any high-traffic area where it's going to sustain a lot of wear. It has that cheap, un-smooth feeling when you turn the handle or locking mechanisms and given my experience with a previous cheap door handle falling off all the time (which leaves a big old hole in your door), I do not trust it completely for security purposes. I fortunately have several other burglary deterrents at this door (cameras, lights, etc.) but I might have returned it if I didn't.

Very fancy looking and 1/4 the price of other black door knob sets. Even came with 4 keys!! No issues at all except it's a bit hard to paint nicely around the handle. Still would but again in a minute:)

The Amazon Basics Entry Door Knob with Lock and Deadbolt in Coastal Matte Black was a great choice for my home.
Installation was moderately easy, though make sure to measure the hole properly as I had to make a few adjustments. Once installed, the set looks lovely and is very durable. The matte black finish adds a sleek touch to my entryway. Highly recommended for both aesthetics and functionality!
