This research study is an attempt made to assess the influence of three demographic variables, Fa... more This research study is an attempt made to assess the influence of three demographic variables, Family Type, Birth order and Mode of Transportations on the stalking victimization among female college students in Indian context. The sample-size for this study comprised of randomly selected 1000 female college students from three different streams- Professional (N=400), Arts (N=300), and Science (N=300), from Annamalai University (Asia's largest residential university) in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. The age range of the participants in this study was from 17 to 30 years (Mean age= 23.5 years). Tools used for data collection were; (1) stalking behaviour checklist by Coleman (1997) a standardized instrument selected after a comprehensive review of related literature, and (2) the Personal Information Schedule designed by the researcher to procure relevant demographic information. The present research is an empirical effort made to study how the Emotional Intelligence factors ... more The present research is an empirical effort made to study how the Emotional Intelligence factors influence on the interpersonal problems of adults. The sample-size is 500 comprising 200 teachers, 150 IT professionals and 150 nurses. The stratified random sampling method is adopted. The age ranges from 22 to 50 (Mean Age = 31.95). The research is executed with non-clinical samples. The tools adopted are: (1) Emotional Intelligence scale 4 and (2) Inventory of the Interpersonal Problems 8 (IIP-32). The participants are contacted individually by the researcher and data is obtained with the help of the above mentioned tools. The descriptive statistics and correlation are used for the statistical analyses. Results indicate that the dimensions of interpersonal problems are negatively correlated and it is statistically significant with the dimensions of emotional intelligence at the 0.01 level of significance as well as at the 0.05 level of significance.This finding supports the understanding and the development of effective strategies in psychotherapy.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate interpersonal dynamics through Kinetic Family Drawing (K... more The purpose of this study is to evaluate interpersonal dynamics through Kinetic Family Drawing (KFD). Art Based Therapy (ABT) can be used in situations where talk therapies and counselling skills are least effective. It is especially helpful for people in crisis and those who are experiencing extreme psychological states. This case study has employed The Kinetic Family Drawing (KFD) to diagnose and treat 62 years old married woman with complaints of sadness, uncertainty & fear. This ABT program comprised of 3 sessions in which the Burns and Kaufman's (1972) Kinetic Family Drawing (KFD) was used 4. In each session the client was made to draw a picture on a sheet of paper (8.5" x 11") 4. The picture drawn by the client was subsequently analysed using focal points and the results were discussed with the client. The outcome of the present study helped the client to get insight into her problem and regain her self-confidence and improve relationship with her family members.

The study uses a questionnaire developed by Walton (1974) [Walton, R. E. (1974). Improving quality of work life. Harvard Business Review, 52(3), 12.] for quality of life and a standard questionnaire named ACHIEVE consists of 25 questions for measuring the performance. Using Spearman correlation test, the study has determined a positive and meaningful relationship between employee performance and eight components of Walton's model including adequate and fair compensation, safe and healthy working conditions, development of human competencies, growth and security, social integration, constitutionalization and total life space and social reliance.
