Space Division Multiple Access, where multiple user signals are simultaneously transmitted and received over same conventional time and frequency channels by using multiple antennas, dramatically increases spectral efficiency. SDMA is realized with beam forming and null forming techniques which accounts for co-channel interference rejection. Channel equalization is done using adaptive equalizer to mitigate the effects of ISI. This paper discusses SDMA technology with digital beam forming with the novel idea of including the Variable step-size LMS algorithm along with MUSIC algorithm employed in MAC protocol for IEEE 802.11 and the results of simulation are analyzed for their performance.

Thus, glaucoma screening-based treatment administered in a timely manner has the potential to prevent the patient from losing all of their vision. However, because glaucoma screening is a complicated process and there is a shortage of human resources, we frequently experience delays, which can lead to an increase in the proportion of people who have lost their eyesight worldwide. In order to overcome the limitations of current manual approaches, there is a critical need to create a reliable automated framework for early detection of Optic Disc (OD) and Optic Cup (OC) lesions. In addition, the classification process is made more difficult by the high degree of overlap between the lesion and eye colour. In this paper, we proposed an automatic detection of Glaucoma disease. In this proposed model is ...

It helps to achieve desired sidelobe level and to improve Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR). In this paper, variants of Minimum Variance Distortionless Response-Sample Matrix Inversion (MVDR-SMI) beamformer with diagonal loading are analyzed. A novel hybrid algorithm, MVDR-SMI beamformer with Colored Adaptive Diagonal Loading is also proposed in this paper. The simulation experiments show improvement in directivity and SINR compared to other existing MVDR-SMI beamformers with diagonal loading.

Beamforming technique is a key factor to high throughput objective achieved by reduction in errors occurring in data transmission and reception. In this paper digital beamforming is to be designed with a specified response like a sidelobe level reduction, forming a null response points in interference direction or jamming frequency improving the gain of the antenna towards intended user. So we use optimal beamforming using optimization technique, to achieve a desired response. For that Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is a desired candidate. PSO is known as a heuristic robust stochastic optimization technique based on swarm intelligence that is inspired by the behaviour of bird flocking, which applies the concept of social interaction to problem solving in various fields such as physics, chemistry, economics and engineering...

These are mainly due to time- varying physical processes which are sometime unknown. The use of adaptive filtering that diminishes and eliminates the signal distortion completely. For adaptive filtering FIR filters are preferred because they are stable and no special adjustments are needed for implementation. The adaptation is done using the Adaline network which uses the LMS learning rule. This paper presents the LMS algorithm using Adaline network. This paper explores biogeography theory. It generalizes two migration models in BBO namely, linear migration model and sinusoidal migration model. The performance of SLL reduction in ULA is investigated. Our performance study shows that among the two, sinusoidal migration model is a promising candidate for optimization. In our work, simplified-BBO algorithm is also deployed. This determines an optimum set value for amplitude excitations of antenna array elements that generate a radiation pattern with maximum side lobe level reduction. Our detailed investigation also shows that sinusoidal migration model of BBO performs better compared to the other evolutionary algorithms discussed in this paper.

BBO is a new evolutionary algorithm (EA) proposed by Dan Simon in the year 2008. The first objective of this paper is to optimise the excitation magnitude of array elements to minimise the maximum side lobe levels. Second objective is to place nulls at specific directions for the optimised pattern by optimising a weight parameter. We review classic BBO and modified biogeography-based optimisation (M-BBO) with two migration models namely linear and sinusoidal. Several simulation experiments are conducted on ULA using BBO techniques to minimise the maximum side lobe level (SLL) imposed with broad nulls. We compare the results of simulation case studies of classic BBO and M-BBO with other EAs such as ACO, GA and StudGA. Best performance is achieved using BBO techniques compared to other EAs for our design problem. The major aim of our investigation is to expose BBO to the EM community and demonstrate its great potential in antenna array design optimisation problem.
