... and I've thoroughly given up on Ribbon. (I'm also wondering if anyone's reading this. Hmmm.) Here are the first 2 songs from Vasalla's 1998 mini-album, AURORA. A generally kick-ass release which, IMO, was their best ever. I've another of their later releases (after Sin and Shun left the band, boo!!), Reincarnation Ep. 1: DNA and sadly, it doesn't match up to AURORA in any way. The same can be said of the pre-AURORA work which- again, IMO- is best described as "icky". AURORA, 1998: DEEP "more deep" BLUE For all... Oh, and here's the romanised track list for MARRY+AN+BLOOD's Bloody Vallentine ~I Love You~ album. I've been hanging around Soulseek (for much too long, really) and finding a lot of un-named MAB mp3s. I presume it's because people are clueless about the kanji. Here it is: Kanzen shinhaku teishi Sakura Dramatic of Darkness Sono utsukushiku chou hakai honnou Zettai reido ~Absolute: 0~ DARK STAR HEART FALL IN BALLET | |

More MARRY! | [14 Jun 2004|11:41pm] |
---|---|
Here're 3 more songs from MARRY+AN+BLOOD's only LP (re-released under the Third Stage in-house label kappa records after Soleil closed down). FALL IN BALLET and DARK STAR are 2 pretty depressing songs (the former more so than the latter), while DRAMATIC OF DARKNESS is a totally kickass jazzy number. So many J-rockers attempt jazzy songs these days, and 90% of their output doesn't make the cut. This one's got the jazz rhythms spot on... and is only ruined by Kamiya's singing. Speaking of Kamiya- his numerous shortcomings as a singer aside, he's cool. He's definitely one of the more (if not most) talented songwriters in the scene. This is why I'm really looking forward to getting my Ribbon EP Beautiful and Resistance over the next couple of days. He writes nice-ish lyrics too... sugoi da.Uh, enough rambling. Here are the songs.03. Dramatic of Darkness06. _DARK STAR_08. FALL IN BALLET | |

More Grass Valley goodness and something from MARRY+AN+BLOOD | [14 Jun 2004|11:41pm] |

Because I've been working hard. -_____-Grass Valley lyrics are full of Engrish, but they're not nearly as funny as ones from DespairsRay. They're just... lame. Oh, but Deguchi-san writes some good Japanese ones. And his voice... oh, his voice... *swoons*Grass Valley, Shiroi Senritsu:05. Kagayaku hotori ni08. Hoshi no sumu kawa13. HAPPINESSAnd here comes MARRY+AN+BLOOD's most (rather, their only) famous song, Sakura! Now, I really recommend MAB. They sound a bit raw, but Kamiya's an incredibly talented song-writer. His vocals are shite, but don't let that put you off! :PMARRY+AN+BLOOD, Bloody Vallentine ~I Love You~ (2003)02. Sakura | |
