Subject: EXCELLENT segment omitted

The 1938 Gene Autry film "The Old Barn Dance" film was shown this morning on FMC (Family Movie Classics) on cable TV. There was a great segment of the Stafford Sisters singing then exchanging dialog that sounded like rapping!
I'd never heard of them before, but subsequently read that the youngest sister Jo Stafford was a big star in the 1940's and early 1950's I replayed that portion several times it was so good. I thought I would be able to find it on line, but the closest I found is the film clip here on Internet Archive.
Unfortunately that segment, which was prior to Gene Autry's singing at the barn dance at around 15 1/2 minutes in, is missing here. Also missing is the performance after them, which I believe was by the Maple City Four.
Though the performances were likely written just for the movie, it would be great if historical performances such as this could be saved.

Once again Gene Autry has an easy time of it doing lots of singing, a bunch of talking and just enough action at the right times to make you sit through some more vocals for the final showdown of sorts. Here, Autry is a horse dealer who throws a barn dance and musical show before his auction - put them in a good mood before you ask for money. Unfortunately everyone in town has purchased a tractor and no horses get sold. The town has a radio station run by an old invalid and his beautiful daughter Helen Valkis (Joan Dawson) - they're in danger of being shut down because they can't pay their bills. Valkis first stops the station from being shut down by lying that the men behind the tractors are going to sponsor the station - and they agree to do it when she lies to them that Autry and all his singing, musician hands have signed a deal with the station. And Autry agrees because he can't sell horses in this town and others where everyone has bought a tractor. Then the crunch comes: when payments on tractors can't be met, the tractors will be repossessed and crops can't be gathered. Meanwhile, the ranchers, the tractor men and Autry all find out that they have been played for suckers by Valkis. Watch it to find out how Autry solves the problems, catches the bad guys and rides off with the girl. IMDb says Valkis was in 49 mostly B movies and a TV series between 1935-53. IMDb says it was 60:00, but we get 55:00 here. If you like to watch vocalists and can stand a western with little action, this works.
