These are my personal notes on misprints, errors, clarification, etc. for the Vietnam-history books I read, together with my communications with the authors. These notes complements my other two documents:

BEST method to view: Displaying the pdf in your browser by clicking on the PDF link in the "Download options" box on the right, then by clicking on any embedded link in the pdf allows you to navigate around the document (see also the Notes below), and is thus better than using the preview above (which offers no advantage… when it works).

Previewer BUG: On 2023.07.02, the Archive staff wrote to me saying "There currently is a bug we need to fix for this to successfully complete."

The above previewer does not allow to follow the embedded links in the pdf.

To follow the active embedded links in the pdf, display the pdf in your browser by clicking on the PDF link in the "Download options" box on the right, then click on any link in the pdf to navigate around the document. If necessary, download the pdf file to a local computer and use a pdf viewer.

Displaying the pdf in your browser is thus better than using the above previewer (when it works).

Sometimes, there is a technical problem so that there is no preview displayed, and you may see the message like the one below:

"THERE IS NO PREVIEW AVAILABLE FOR THIS ITEM ... Please download files ... to interact with them on your computer. Show all files."

Just click on the button "Show all files," look at the "Last modified" date, and click on the latest pdf file (with the most recent modified date) to view it in your browser. If necessary, you can then download the pdf from the browser to your computer to keep.
