The intended purpose of this paper is to analyze the importance and meaning of this threefold task in light of the heretical (heterodox) doctrine being promoted at the church in Ephesus. Authorship Pauline authorship has been questioned by commentators lately (Donald Guthrie 54-58, William Mounce 265, Alfred Plummer 12). They point to various aspects, namely, Paul's lifetime (historical), incompatibility with church organization (ecclesiastical), doctrinal emphases (doctrinal), vocabulary (linguistic), his approach (methodical), and hapaxes (grammatical)

To this end, four research questions are submitted: (a) what are the components of a biblical model of mentoring with a knowledge management perspective? (b) What are the nature and types of knowledge imparted in a mentoring relationship? (c) What are the impediments to knowledge impartation in a mentoring relationship? (d) What knowledge management strategies can be used to overcome the impediments to knowledge impartation in a mentoring relationship? They are the mentor, the protege, , the knowledge to be imparted, the mentor-protege, relationship, and the Holy Spirit. Next, the nature of knowledge imparted can be conceptualised as explicit-tacit-implicit, declarativ...

It seeks to explore how suffering permeates the plan of God, the character of God and the call of God to discipleship. It seeks to understand better what the apostle Paul meant when he called Timothy to endure hardship like a good soldier of Christ Jesus (2 Tim 2:3).

Firstly, in order to familiarize you with basic reading content relating to the intricacies of the life of a pastor, this paper is drafted as an introductory research paper. Secondly, it seeks to identify the challenges a pastor typically faces. The scope is confined within three broad areas, namely, personal life, family life and ministry. Thirdly, it proposes strategies to help mitigate the various challenges so as to maintain a pastor’s overall well-being.
This paper covers challenges arising from the pastor’s personal life, which include the calling into ministry, personal conduct and moral integrity, as well as personal spiritual growth. Those arising from the family life encompass relationships with the family, the spouse and the children while those arising from the ministry include stress, conflict and spiritual warfare. Having presented these challenges; strategies to overcome them are developed on the bases of the insights drawn both from the literature and pastors interviewed.

Rather, it is a covenant sign showing the child’s acceptance into the church, with promises made by parents and congregation to bring up the child in the fear of the Lord. This is the same promise made by parents during the dedication, which is offered as an alternative to infant baptism.
