The study divides female characters in two categories—the conformist, and the heretical—to present how Shakespeare views women of his time and how he wants women to rise above everything and to have an active role in the society. This comparative study found Shakespeare creating the first group of women who are highly dominated by their male counterparts with no active role are victimized by the situation; in contrast, the other group who are very active and dominating on their male counterparts are taking control of the situation while transcending the limitation imposed by Elizabethan society and challenge the conventional idea of that age.

Substantial data showed students owned or had access to most recent ICT tools and used internet extensively, but they failed to properly utilize the tools and make proper use of the resources. Proper guidelines and training for both teachers and learners to maximize use of ICT for educational purposes have been suggested.

The main goal of doing so is to teach English in Bangladeshi madrasahs with an aim of developing students’ communicative ability in English. This study investigates the applicability of CA in Bangladeshi madrasahs considering the contexts into account. Adopting mixed-method approach, this case-study research on three madrasahs attempted to find out the gap between current practices and CA by interviewing the English teachers, some students, and the institutional heads using different questionnaires, and by observing one class from each institute to explore the naturalistic context. The findings showed that despite the presence of very few positive signs, CA is not applicable in the Bangladeshi madrasahs as long as the current context exists. Therefore, the policy makers and respective authorities should take necessary steps to improve the current situation for which the recommendations at the end of this research can be considered.

The research has been conducted in twenty colleges—ten are from urban area, and the other ten are from rural area of Bangladesh. The data was collected by using a questionnaire from a total of 402 students from the institutions under this study. The students were of similar age, and they were studying the same syllabus under Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. This study found that the instrumental factors of motivation in language learning have serious impact on the aforementioned students. It further revealed that the lack of integrative motivation among the students is a prime reason of students' inability to become an efficient communicator in English despite studying English for twelve years as part of formal education.

It was a non-experimental and quantitative research in which 86 university students participated. Three distinct sets of question paper, each consisting ten MCQs, have been used to assess the reading ability of these learners in three groups. The data were analyzed in terms of "p value" (Difficulty value) and "D value" (Discrimination value), and presented by adopting descriptive statistics method. The findings disclose the excellence of MCQs in measuring the ability to skim and make inference; nevertheless, also reveal some limitations in assessing the skill to look for specific information, especially the ability to measure the vocabulary knowledge of the learners if the items are expected to distinguish between higher achievers and low achievers.
