With sincere apologies and deepest regrets I am sorry to have to do this, but after great thought, I am placing At Hogwarts on an indefinite hiatus. I can't deal with this right now, maybe in the future. I have enjoyed playing with all of you and perhaps at a later date we can regroup and reform and move forward. I know that it isn't fair, after going through so much, when it seemed as if smooth sailing was ahead. Hello all… Due to some RL and RP stress in the last week I have been quiet, I dropped some characters (but not here… You guys can’t get rid of me that easily *lol*) and I made a new RPsn on AIM to get away from the stress and completely back into the games. Whoops *hides head* So I know I said I'd update once I got settled in...obviously didn't happen. But my laptop broke, and I didn't want to get it fixed until I got back to the states. So I've been using an internet cafe, and didn't have enough time to do a proper post. I'm home on Saturday, though, and will have my own internet back. At_Hogwarts Roll Call! Kitty and I have been brainstorming, and have talked to you a few of you about the game already, and our hopes for continuing it, and having more fun. Here are a few of the plot ideas that we are planning on implementing in the near future. If you have ideas of your own you would like to see, or if you want to figure out where your character belongs in the scheme of things, feel free to ask - you can comment here, email us, or simply grab us when you see us on aim! Sorry to say... Dearest at_hogwarts members and RPers,I am saddened to say that I have decided to quit.It's nothing any of you have cause, oh, no, far from that.It's simply because I have been RPing as Professor Snape for around three years (going on four, who knows, I lost count). As much as I love Snape, I feel the need to take a break from not only Harry Potter RP, but journal RPing altogether. I have an uberly busy life, I work 9+ hours a day, I have a lazy husband to take care of, a messy appartment to clean, and a lifestyle to begin. I have what it takes to become a writer. I'm almost graduated in my advanced course, and honestly need to get off my procrastinating butt and publish things. I want to do this.I am truly saddened, as I have pondered quitting for quite some time now, but couldn't bring myself to, because you are all a wonderful bunch, and it just won't be the same without you.But I will remember the good times we had. All those people bothering Snape and asking him for the impossible, which I have (eventually!) found solutions for, because Snape and I are S.M.R.T.Keep smiling, keep RPing wonderfully, and keep in touch by e-mail, if you wish. *smiles*I thank you all for the experience and for the fact you have all been super patient with me since I moved to the USA and became almost impossible to reach.Will miss you all.RaineAKAThe best Snape ever!!! I'm leaving tomorrow for Australia (where I'll be until the end of July), so I'm going to be really slow in posting/responding. I will have internet access after this Sunday, but I'm sharing my computer with two others, so I have no idea how often I'll be able to respond. Status Report I just want to start off by apologizing to everyone - I've been in finals for about a month, and before that was extremely busy preparing for them, but the end is (finally) near. I'm really hoping that within the next week, things can start getting somewhat back to normal. I know that's not a great excuse, but it's what's been going on. Anyway, if there's a plot idea, and it's reasonable (not something completely ridiculous and off-canon), then go ahead and proceed. You don't have to wait for it to be approved. Also, I'm going to go right now and re-add Bill (I believe that's who it is...I'll go double-check). Once again, I'm really sorry. for what it's worth... Oh jeez guys. I feel so bad. I'm sorry about my 4 month AWOL. I took an internship downstate in lieu of my second semester of highschool. I thought I would be able to balance out my work at the zoo and my RP games hence I didn't really post an FYI, but it didn't work out. Like, at all. Of course, it didn't help that I became a workaholic {i'm generally at the zoo from 7 to 6, even though I should be there 8 to 5 and i'm NOT supposed to be there on the weekends but somehow I just end up there all the time...} but still. Tonks-mun can vouch for my general absenteeism on all fronts of my life besides the zoo. I'm at the tail end of my internship now and slowly getting back invovled in games to brighten up my summer away from my penguins. {I hate life outside of the zoo now. What's the point of getting out of bed if you don't have lemurs to feed? I Seriously don't see it anymore.}If I'm welcomed back in the game, I'd be very excited to rejoin. To Everybody in the Game Hey, it's just me, Julie, wanting to talk to everyone here At_Hogwarts, if I can have your attention, please, for a few minutes.Things have gotten a little slow here, and I was hoping that we could all work together to revitalize the game - maybe have some sort of big powwow or something - get input from everybody as to plot ideas that we can work on. Maybe lay everything out and present it to the mods, and also have everybody pimp like crazy for new players.
