See the Kelpie's potential for autonomous navigation through fields and avoiding obstacles in order to execute precision weed control. Through machine learning, the Kelpie targets and eliminates weeds like Serrated Tussock and Paterson's Curse whilst avoiding overspray, offering an efficient and sustainable approach to farming. This is the “green-on-green” recognition problem – much harder than “green-on-brown”. Kelpie has multiple uses apart from weed control, including assessment of pasture feed quality and soil carbon measurement, using an auger and spectrometer attachment. MIDN Mark Gaponov's Internship At AOS AOS was delighted to host MIDN Mark Gaponov (Navy – Electrical Engineering) for his 4-week internship. During his time here, he gained valuable insight into our multi-agent AI software and helped develop the next-generation Kelpie autonomous offroad vehicle. At the end of his internship, Mark gave a presentation during our Lunch and Learn Session, in which he shared his knowledge and experience with us. His experience in the Navy provided a unique perspective into the design of our products so to better align with the needs and preferences of operational users. AOS at IndoPac 2023, Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour IndoPac 2023 opened today at 9 am, and AOS features on the Victorian Government stand In Hall 4 where we are highlighting the AI-based products and intelligence software agent technology developed by AOS. One of the highlights today was the Djambawa Mariwili art presentation to the Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Mark Hammond AO. The Chief of Navy then gave a studied overview of the challenges facing the Navy, and this was followed by a question and answer question between the Defence Minister and Acting Prime Minister Richard, the Honourable Richard Marles and the Chief of Navy.
Upcoming Expo and Conference - MilCIS 2023 14 – 16th November 2023 National Convention Centre Canberra (31 Constitution Avenue, Canberra, ACT 2601, Australia) AOS has partnered with Asension to present at MilCIS for the first time. We will be presenting our approach to distributed EW capability (HECULES EW ™), consisting of multiple small autonomous ground vehicles (Kelpie®) and small UAVs, working together as a team. Each mounts a small, low-cost EW transceiver (Wombat), to provide a highly effective, distributed EW capability.
