Inventing intuitive visitor experiences that inspire curiosity.
About us
Art Processors is a global experiential design and technology company. We partner with cultural and tourism organisations to invent new realities of human experience. We offer specialist interactive media and exhibition design services that set a new standard for immersive storytelling, alongside a technology platform that makes it easy to deliver, benchmark and continually improve experiences. Art Processors began in 2011 with a mission: to change the way a museum could look and feel at the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona). We sought to democratise the experience; to create new ways of storytelling, no wall labels or scholarly rhetoric. When we started out, the technology we needed didn’t exist, so we invented it. Ten years on, we’re still inventing—dreaming up new ways of storytelling, adding new ways of doing things to our technology platform, and forging new partnerships. Understanding and continually exploring the unification of experiential design and technology is critical to everything we do. So too is ensuring we have a positive impact on the people who visit the organisations we partner with—it’s why we do what we do. Our ‘special sauce’ is our multidisciplinary team. We are artists, strategists, engineers and scientists skilled at harmonising people, place, technology and storytelling to create experiences that resonate with audiences. We believe anything is possible and if it doesn’t exist we invent it.

- Hidden: Seven Children Saved at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum wins Gold! We were awarded the prestigious Gold Accolade by Good Design Australia in the Architectural Design category for exceptional design and innovation. This year’s theme, "The Design Effect" underscored the crucial role design plays in shaping better products, services, spaces, and experiences while driving the transition to a more sustainable, less carbon-intensive future. The Jury praised Hidden: Seven Children Saved commenting: Hidden: Seven Children Saved at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum is a deeply moving exploration of the Holocaust aimed at 11-14-year-olds. This exhibition poignantly narrates the stories of children who survived through hiding and their subsequent new beginnings in Australia. Utilising youthful, first-person storytelling and interactive elements, it imparts vital lessons on prejudice, loss, and kindness. The Jury was profoundly impressed by the exhibition’s sensitive and engaging design. Its multi-layered approach provides an enriching experience that fosters empathy and understanding, making it a standout example of exceptional exhibition design and a deserving Award winner. We at Art Processors couldn't be more proud. Shout out to the amazing client team Melbourne Holocaust Museum, as well as our internal team of Tony Holzner, Sam Doust, Tara McDonough, Ariel Efron, Edith Prakoso, Tom Kojrowicz, Kate Bennett, Kate Chmiel, Becky Sui Zhen Freeman and Casey Hartnett. Also to our partners Yitzhak Yedid for the Musical Score, The Art of Molly Crabapple for the illustrations, and Mark O'Brien for model making.
- Can't say enough about this humbling project, fantastic client and amazing AP team. What a story, what a project, what a journey.
We were proud to receive a social impact award for our 'Hidden: Seven Children Saved' exhibition at the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) Awards last night. The judges acknowledged 'Hidden' as an "innovative and experiential exhibition" saying "the thoughtful design inspires visitors of all ages to embrace lessons of kindness, empathy, and bravery. It is a mindfully, artistically, and rigorously presented project that leverages first-person storytelling to achieve impactful outcomes within strong learning frameworks". We extend our congratulations to all involved in this project, including Jennifer Levitt-Maxwell, Lisa Phillips, Jayne Josem, and the entire MHM team. We would like to thank and congratulate Art Processors for helping to bring this exhibition to life with their expertise in cutting-edge experience design, and our funders – Gandel Foundation and Claims Conference – who made the exhibition possible. We also recognise the contribution of the University of Melbourne and Gandel Foundation for their advice, guidance and reflections throughout the project’s development. Most importantly, we would like to thank each of the seven survivors featured within the exhibition: Halina, Paul, Joe, Sonia, Henri, John and Floris. Thank you for sharing your stories bravely, and passing on the lessons of the Holocaust to future generations. Visit the 'Hidden' exhibition today and be inspired by their unique stories of survival: https://bit.ly/3O2jDWV - It's an exciting day for the Art Processors team! Pladia distills 13 years of insights gained from rigorous research, extensive prototyping, comprehensive analysis, and attentive listening into a unified platform of premium software products. Pladia's powerful and practical tools are designed to create better visitor experiences, whether they're seeing the various gallery halls of your art venue, walking through a new exhibit in a history museum, or being wowed by a spectacular light and fireworks show, thus creating results that drive tangible business value.
