- The Export Council of Australia welcomes this agreement. It will be good for Australian exporters, including in their efforts to diversify. The agreement will facilitate trade and reduce the cost of doing business with the UAE. We expect a diverse range of Australian industries to benefit from the agreement, including dairy, red meat, pulses, honey, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, construction, cyber, education, environment and health services. This is a momentous agreement, due to a number of factors including the speed of the negotiations, and the first-time inclusion in the agreement of chapters on First Nations Trade and Cooperation, and Sustainable Agriculture. When considering entering the UAE market, we encourage Australian exporters to conduct research on the commercial opportunity, on the relevant UAE regulations, and/or in finding the right business partner. If you need advice on the UAE market, please contact us on info@export.org.au.
