Keynote speaker Jessica Christiansen-Franks of Neighbourlytics set the scene while the esteemed panel of Kylie Mannix of AVJennings, Anne Flaherty of REA Group and Frasers Property’s Executive General Manager Emily Wood led the audience on a deep dive into how The Great Australian Dream continues to evolve, current and emerging trends in design and connection, as well as the challenges, policy settings and the role of our industry in delivering the homes and communities we want, and which all Australians deserve. Frasers Property Limited has released its full year results for the year ended 30 September 2024, achieving attributable profit of S$206.3m. Amid significant and stubborn market challenges, Frasers Property Australia delivered year-on-year growth in operating earnings which, along with our strong current work pipeline, is a positive achievement which contributed to our profit before interest and tax of A$88.4m. In 2024, Frasers Property Australia marked 100 years of operations and our strategy to recycle and re-invest capital in new opportunities will be more crucial than ever as we continue to navigate market challenges to deliver sustained growth and enhanced value, for a bright long-term future. Frasers Property Australia's landmark Bradmill community in Yarraville VIC recently celebrated a major milestone with its first sods turned, marking the beginning of construction of the first homes as part of the new development. Representatives of builder Figurehead Construction and architect Rothelowman joined Frasers Property staff for the event, which was the start of a new chapter for the former textile manufacturing industrial site. The Pioneer Townhomes will feature many nods to the site's history, including kitchen benches which mirror the steel-framed garment tables once used by Bradmill workers and industrial-style brushed nickel tapware. Frasers Property Australia General Manager Development Victoria Sarah Bloom commented on the significance of this milestone and project. "This supremely located site has been neglected for decades, and this is the moment its rebirth as one of Melbourne’s most vibrant new neighbourhoods began. In partnership with Property Council of Australia, last week we hosted a sold-out event where 40+ industry professionals came along to Brunswick & Co., Frasers Property Australia's first Build-to-Rent (BTR) project rising in the heart of Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. It was an exciting opportunity for the Brunswick & Co. team to welcome people through the site and discuss all things BTR. The discussion panel featured Development Director Jamisen Rivera, Cox Architecture's Paul Focic and RPS planning lead Joanne Cousins. Frasers Property Australia is proud to welcome Amanda Eessa as this year’s recipient of the Master of Architecture (Urban Transformation) Scholarship for Women at Western Sydney University (WSU). The two-year $60,000 scholarship is designed to encourage more women into an industry which has traditionally been male-dominated, as well as providing more opportunities to students of diverse backgrounds. Amanda, who formed the Beyond Architecture Student Club at WSU and established student architecture magazine ‘In Due Time’, intends to use her degree to improve and beautify Western Sydney where she grew up and still lives, with a focus on public and community spaces. “I want to create a legacy and I’m proud to share that with the world and to show that Western Sydney can provide all these excellent opportunities.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gay7qSzu

The Frasers Property Australia Mambourin team turned the first sod for the new $50 million Mambourin Marketplace this week, marking the start of construction of what will become the social heart of the growing masterplanned community in Melbourne’s west. With its curated mix of dining choices, retail shops and important services including health and wellbeing providers, as well as the recently-announced Coles Group supermarket, Mambourin Marketplace will be a place for residents to access everything they need day to day, enjoy social experiences, and meet up with friends and family. Representatives from our contractor Maben Group Pty Ltd, ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects and other project partners joined the team to mark the milestone. Mambourin is a prime example of our large-scale mixed-use development expertise in action. With the proposed new train station, the Good News Lutheran College P-12 Campus set to open soon, and now the start of Mambourin Marketplace, the full picture of the future Mambourin Town Centre is clear.
