- GME is excited to announce the signing of a MoU with Hanwha Defence Australia and Hanwha Systems at the 2024 MilCIS Conference in Canberra yesterday. The agreement will see the three parties working together to explore a range of manufacturing and technology transfer opportunities for the Australian Defence market around C4I (command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence) opportunities. General Manager Defence, Security and Resilience at GME, Chris Rule commented that “Manufacturing the advanced electronics that underpin military communications, EW and weapons systems is core business for our secure manufacturing facility so working with Hanwha on their world leading products for the ADF makes sense.” GME echos the sentiment of Acting Managing Director of Hanwha Defence Australia, Mr Dean Michie and are looking forward to exploring the art of the possible together with Hanwha Defence Australia and Hanwha Systems to support the needs of the Australian Defence Force.#Australianbusiness #defence #MilCIS2024

- US and Australian Defence industry collaboration and Strategic alignment was on display at the GDay USA Defence Industry Dialogue. Key Government and industry leaders sharing thoughts on AUKUS, critical technology trends, and the overall decline in global geopolitical stability. The general sentiment was focused on our need to deter aggression and be postured to respond to same. The ‘clock is not on our side’ and US/Australian industry collaboration is key. But spending must accelerate, and red-tape removed. GME is ready, collaborating in the US, and committed to sustainable national security. - It has been three huge days for GME at #AUSA24 where our Defence team has spent time engaging with US partners, meeting new companies and unmasking new opportunities to work with US Defence industry. With a theme of “Transforming for a Complex World,” AUSA24 highlighted the US Army’s efforts to modernise and restructure as it contends with an increasingly volatile and complex world. As an Australian business specialising in RF communications manufacturing, AUSA24 provided the team with valuable connections with key stakeholders in the US. GME's GM of Defence, Chris Rule, said that the key themes emerging from the dialogue were of partnering to support the US Defence Supply Chain with uncrewed systems and subsystem manufacturing and strengthening AUKUS Pillar 2 advanced technologies at AUSA24, both of which are well aligned with GME's core business and place Australian manufacturing at the forefront of supporting the USA. GME would like to thank Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and #TDA for allowing GME to join their stand and coordinate valuable contacts with the US industry.#australianmanufacturing #defenceindustry
