It’s not everyday you can watch someone sleep, live, inside a billboard right on Sydney Harbour. After a nationwide search for Australia’s Worst Sleeper, we found regular Aussie Jack, who just can’t get a good night’s rest. Jack entered the IKEA Sleep Billboard this morning, and will spend the next 24 hours living inside this bedroom, beautifully designed by our IKEA sleep experts. In our year-long focus on sleep, we wanted to put IKEA products, solutions and expertise to the ultimate test and show how we can help anyone, even a terrible sleeper, get a great night’s rest. Australia’s eleventh IKEA store is here! But at just 3m2, it’s IKEA like you’ve never seen before. A bright yellow IKEA phone box has popped up today in the Sunshine Coast and is about to head to Newcastle and Geelong! It's all to show customers in regional centres how easy it is to shop at IKEA, even if they are far away from a big blue box IKEA store. When visitors step into the IKEA phone box, a tablet inside has a direct line to the IKEA customer centre, where they can experience everything remote shopping at IKEA offers: ordering over the phone or online chat with the help of an IKEA expert, or even booking a virtual planning appointment to design their dream space. Remote shopping is making IKEA more accessible and convenient than ever before for our customers to shop their way - wherever, whenever and however they choose.
