- What an inspiring morning! Precision Pastures hosted a successful business breakfast event today in Armidale, bringing together a vibrant group of farmers, agribusiness professionals, and community leaders in celebration of National Agriculture Day this week. The event highlighted local companies and individuals who are making strides to seize opportunities in agriculture, building a more sustainable, resilient, and prosperous future for the sector. The breakfast event, attended by more than 80 members of the Armidale and New England agricultural community, provided an engaging platform to showcase bold thinking and success stories from local companies. These organisations are demonstrating how dedication, technology, and sustainable practices can meet today’s agricultural challenges and spark economic growth in regional Australia. Precision Pastures CEO Hamish Webb opened the event with remarks on the power of collaboration to drive success. “Today’s event is a celebration of the resilience and creativity in our local agricultural communities,” said Mr Webb. “We’re thrilled to honour those who are not only contributing to the ag industry but also paving the way forward by seizing new opportunities that make agriculture smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. Armidale is punching above its weight when it comes to leadership in decarbonisation and how we can better leverage opportunities in carbon to unlock production gains in agriculture.” Several speakers from leading agricultural companies in the New England region shared insights on a range of topics, including keynote presentations from managing director of Meat and Livestock Australia, Michael Crowley, and CEO USA Impact Ag Partners, Bert Glover. The findings of a five-year study co-founded by MLA, ‘Grazing system impact on livestock productivity, soil moisture and soil organic carbon’, were also revealed by Precision Pastures, as project-lead, highlighting important trends in grazing management and opportunities to boost soil carbon stocks. Thanks to all who attended the event.#nationalagday #growyougoodthing @nationalfarmers Meat & Livestock Australia @armidaleregionalcouncil Impact Ag Partners

- Precision Pastures reveals new site in Dubbo Precision Pastures is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest office in Dubbo, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey to better serve farmers across regional Australia. This expansion not only represents Precision Pastures’ growth as a company but also reflects the increasing demand for #soil #carbon services in the agricultural industry. The new purpose-built office is located at the state-of-the-art industrial precinct, Blueridge Business Park, 1/9 Asset Way, #Dubbo. Drew Walsh, Soils and Pasture agronomist and regional manager at Precision Pastures, is based in Dubbo at the new site and will spearhead the company’s growth in the Central West. “Dubbo serves as a central hub for many producers who have expressed interest in soil carbon opportunities that align with their current production objectives,” Drew said. “By establishing a base here, we can collaborate with these farmers, offering tailored solutions including agronomy, soil testing, baselining and end-to-end carbon project services. Dubbo is a great place to live and work and we hope to grow our team here for many years to come.” Whilst Precision Pastures has been active in the Central West region for some time, the new office will serve as a hub for training, support, and a local fleet of soil testing equipment, ensuring that farmers have direct access to an expert team. “We're partnering with local organisations to engage with the community and actively participate in local events, including our sponsorship of Dubbo Run Club, the Dubbo Kangaroos Rugby Club, and local touch football teams, continuing our engagement with the farming community in meaningful ways,” Drew said. “I invite everyone in the Dubbo region and beyond to visit our new office, meet the team, and explore how Precision Pastures can help you understand and benefit from opportunities in soil carbon.” (Full media release available via the Precision Pastures website).

Internship reflections - Precision Pastures precisionpastures.com.au - Soil carbon project ‘common sense and practical’: Gippsland beef producer When returning to Gippsland in 2021 to run a newly-acquired family beef property, ‘Nambrok’, Annabel Davies began to take an interest in soil carbon, natural capital, and nature positive farming. She discovered how a soil carbon made perfect sense for her beef enterprise. “The surprising part of registering the project was that a lot of the practices were everyday things we were already doing on a relatively under-developed property which had room for improvement,” Annabel said. Nambrok will play host to a Soil Carbon Workshop event held in the woolshed on Friday October 18, open to producers and service providers in the area seeking to understand more about opportunities in soil carbon. The free half-day workshop is co-hosted by NAB Agribusiness. Registration and further insights below Josie Zilm CarbonRich Hamish Webb Rowena Skuse https://lnkd.in/dwgzSQ6j
