2025 is well and truly underway, what does this year have in store for Australian businesses?PwC Australia's freshly released 28th Annual Global CEO Survey reveals there is no denying our leaders are optimistic, but feeling the crunch in a tough macroeconomic climate. The two big economic factors I think we need to hone in on: the business environment and productivity. Check out the full report here: https://lnkd.in/g9v9AtD8 #CEOInsights #PwCAUCEOSurvey - Some of Australia’s leading CEOs are taking bold steps to reinvent their business models. For others, there is a stark choice: self-disrupt or be disrupted. In today’s release of PwC’s 28th Annual Global CEO Survey - Australian insights, we found Aussie business leaders are feeling optimistic about 2025, with 41% planning headcount increases and 88% adopting AI for business strategy. Frictionless retail stores and humanoid avatars... How can we move business thinking beyond the hypothetical? 🤖✨ It's amazing what can be achieved when our people, alliance partner Microsoft and clients come together... and that's just what happened on Tuesday when we launched the extension of our Reinvention Lab in Sydney. An incredible workshop designed to help organisations tackle challenges such as skills shortages, supply chain constraints and business model reinvention, in an industry specific and tangible way. Thank you Dr Catherine Ball for the keynote address... Inspiring, challenging and thought-provoking. To book a tour of our workshop, please visit our website: https://lnkd.in/g38gWpf9 #GenAI #BusinessModelReinvention #Microsoft #ReinventionLab - Meet Darcy Roper - a professional track and field athlete AND data assurance associate! - Last month we took a deep dive into the most pressing priorities for our financial services industry, when it comes to risk and regulation. At FINSIA’s signature event The Regulators, key industry leaders came together in a discussion moderated by our National Risk and Digital Trust Leader, Amrita Jebamoney. They touched on what’s needed to secure a stable financial future for the region, including a focus on enhancing financial resilience, tackling financial crime and preparing for the evolution of AI and cyber threats. Some key takeaways include; 🔵 Consumer protection: continues to be a key focus with more work to be done by organisations to support consumers experiencing financial hardship and vulnerable customers. 🔵 Heightened expectations on the superannuation sector: particularly relating to the retirement income covenant and member service failures. 🔵 AI and cybersecurity: namely, how organisations will need to ensure governance frameworks are updated for the planned use of AI, and ensuring the responsible and ethical use of AI in a rapidly changing regulatory environment. 🔵 Regulatory trends for 2025: expansion and simplification of the AML/CTF regime, CPS230 implementation and APRA's system wide stress-testing. - For senior manager, Michelle Hazle, it wasn’t until her son was diagnosed with ADHD that she sought to get assessed herself. Her subsequent diagnosis has since led to a journey of self-discovery and education. As co-chair of our Ability employee network, Michelle uses her personal experience as a powerful tool to create a safe and supportive environment for others. In recognition of the amazing work she does for our firm, she was recently announced as the joint winner of the Inclusion Award at The PwC Awards 🏆 So today, in celebration of International Day of People with Disability, we asked Michelle her top tips for building a more neuroinclusive workplace.
