About us

The Sydney Fringe Festival is the largest independent arts festival in New South Wales with over 500 events presented in over 70 venues across Greater Sydney each year. Each year over the month of September, culture creators from all over the city join forces with us to share Sydney’s stories presenting new work from all genres. Outside of festival time we activate unused space creating new cultural infrastructure and precincts. August & September, 2022.

We are immensely proud of Kerri’s new role and are excited about the opportunity she has to contribute to the development of the landmark 10-year policy for the NSW Government. With the policy’s implementation already showing positive results, we are confident that this collaborative effort will further embed the arts, culture, and creative industries at the heart of NSW. To support the delivery of Creative Communities, the state’s first 10-year policy for arts, culture and creative industries, the inaugural Creative Communities Council has been established. Huge congratulations to the showstopping Sydney Fringe artists who graced the stage at Adelaide Fringe and took home some incredible awards. A special shout out to our Made in Sydney shows 'Plenty of Fish in the Sea,' who were recipients of the House of Oz Purse Prize award, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their talents at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and to End of Winter who took home the Sustainability Award. Plus, the always-amazing Sam Kissajikian won the The Eran Svigos Best Visual Art for Solo Exhibition and the Mental Health Awareness Award for 'Museum of Modernia'.
