Our vision is to eliminate landfill by turning waste into renewable energy and hydrogen.
About us
Wildfire Energy is a privately held renewable energy startup developing technology for gasification and waste to energy applications. Wildfire has developed a novel, proprietary gasification process to enable cost effective conversion of low value biomass and waste feedstocks into high quality syngas for electricity generation and production of fuels and chemicals. The technology employs a unique, scalable configuration which avoids common problems typically associated with biomass and waste utilisation. Testing is currently underway at a pilot plant located in Brisbane, Australia prior to scale up and commercialisation of the technology.

- Wildfire Energy Wins at Australian Technologies Competition! Over the last four months Wildfire Energy has been participating in the Australian Technologies Competition (ATC) 2024 Edition and has come away victorious! Celebrating 14 years of championing Australia’s top tech talent, this year’s ATC Final was held at Sydney’s start-up haven, the Collider in Haymarket on 19 September. The ATC continues to be the nation’s premier growth and awards program for technology SMEs and scale-ups. With a spotlight on innovative technologies and commercial models with global impact, the program offers successful entrants a gateway to invaluable connections with investors, mentors, and industry leaders. Initially comprising of 136 applicants who were accepted into the ATC 2024, progressive development sessions, mentoring, business plan presentations and elimination rounds reduced those numbers to 62 and then 37 for the final challenge. Pitching to an experienced panel of SME and startup experts, each finalist had just 5 minutes to convince the judges of their technology and business capabilities and then the format dictated that they had to withstand a further 5 minutes of detailed cross examination. Competing in the Sustainable Communities Category, Wildfire’s Jamie Roodenrys went last out of 37 presentations and wowed the judges with the team’s globally significant technology and well-developed business plan. Receiving high praise from judges and fellow competitors alike, Wildfire was successful in taking first place in its category and an amazing 3rd place overall in an extremely high-quality field of competitors. Wildfire Energy would like to thank the Australian Technologies Competition and its sponsors for their excellent and on-going support and promotion of technology startups and SME’s in Australia! In particular we would like to thank the amazing staff at ATC for all of their hard work and great organisational skills, and we would also like to thank our ATC appointed mentor Anne-Marie Perret for her invaluable contributions and guidance. And finally, congratulations of course to all of the winners on the night but also to all of the ATC 2024 entrants for being willing to step outside of your comfort zone, take on the challenge and give it a go. We thoroughly recommend the experience to prospective entrants thinking of ATC 2025 Australian Hydrogen Council Bioenergy Australia Smart Energy Council https://lnkd.in/g8AENVUh https://lnkd.in/gmnTzZN9
