It could be said that the majority of contemporary minds were moulded in the cartesian emblem; The Contemporary Architect comprehends Space as Descartes represented it to Humanity. On the other side, another narrative is going on, the traditionalist narrative; Traditionalist Architect has another version of understanding Space that differs from the mainstream understanding of Space.
Space will be discussed and elaborated from multi-points of perspective, Starting from the Greek philosophy, passing by the Islamic philosophy, and ending with the Enlightenment Philosophy. The impact of this understanding on the architectural design process will be tackled as well.

Without diving in the anthropologists’ seas to find the differences and the genealogies of each notion, we can easily sum up the differences in the next phrase from the book Culture: the anthropologists’ account, by the anthropologist Adam Kuper:
“Initially, the German notion of culture was very similar to the French idea of civilization, but in time a distinction came to be drawn between the external trapping of civilization and the inward spiritual reality of culture”

The design approach is merging the spiritual part of the traditional funeral with the practicality of the modern way.
This is conveyed through the ritualistic symbolic modernized program. In order to make an intimate visual connection between the live city and death; a flip is in order. The project’s vital parts (Wake, Funeral and Cremation) will be rooted under the soil turning the entire entity upside down.
The ashes will stay in the erected urned columns for seven days, until transferred into the roots of the centered Bodhi tree to help the human spirit reach Buddhahood.

This paper aims to trace the maq‘ad back to Egypt's earliest Islamic architectural phase. This process will be done through two stages; the first is to look for a mention of this element in the available sources, as well as examining the surviving maq‘ads, e.g., the maq‘ad Mama’i, Wasila House maq‘ad, and the Sinnari House maq‘ad, among many others. By merging the two aspects of this first stage, a general idea of the characteristics of the maq‘ad would be constructed.

A series of questions would be tackled, such as; is Rest an attribute added to the essences like color, shape, etc.? or is Rest a state of being that the essence acquired upon creating? Is Rest such an imaginary position that humans use to understand Motion? Also, what is the relationship between Rest and Time?
