The Australian Mathematical Society produced four periodical journals and one lecture series collection.

Publications

Published since 1959

AustMS Journal

The Journal of the Australian Mathematical Society is the oldest journal of the Society, and is well established in its coverage of pure mathematics and mathematical statistics. It seeks to publish original, high-quality articles of moderate length (15–35 pages) and wide interest. Papers are carefully reviewed, and those with good introductions explaining the context, meaning and value of the results are preferred.

The ANZIAM Journal

The ANZIAM Journal continues the Journal of the Australian Mathematical Society. Series B. Applied Mathematics (1975–2000). It considers papers in any field of applied mathematics and related mathematical sciences with the aim of rapid publication in print and electronic formats. Novel applications of mathematics in real situations are especially welcomed. All papers should include some indication of applicability, and an introduction that can be understood by non-specialist readers from the whole applied mathematical community.

Lecture Series

The Lecture Series of the Australian Mathematical Society commenced publication in 1984. It aims to cover all areas of mathematics whilst focusing on the needs of Australian University curricula. Books in the series will be appropriate for undergraduate, honours and first year graduate levels, as well as providing access to new areas for mathematics professionals. The series has a particular emphasis on texts developed from areas in which Australian mathematicians are strong in either research or teaching.
