This is a quiz i took. Mind you, i'm an engineering student, at one of the top 5 engineering schools in the US of A. And this is the quiz i handed in.

Directions: Revise the following sentences to be more specific

1. I like casseroles.
A. I think casseroles are the cat's pajamas.

2. Too many people have been absent.
A. If people keep missing class, heads are going to roll.

3. The plane left.
A. The metal bird lifted off to its destination.

4. She read a book.
A. Her eyes absorbed the printed word.

5. Your paper was too general.
A. Please rewrite your paper; it is bad.

6. The class will write a research paper.
A. The students must complete busy work.

7. Some guy wants to see you.
A. A date rapist is waiting for you outside.
Note: Next to this response, the teacher wrote in red pen, ok

8. I feel nervous.
A. My knees are shaking, baby.

9. The house is dilapidated.
A. That run down shack is perfect to raise a family.

Note: At the top of the paper, the teacher wrote: Rewrite each sentence to be more specific rather than more poetic

I would have used lj cut but that was too awesome.
