The research develop the concept of entrepreneurship, the benefits and need to adhere strictly to... more The research develop the concept of entrepreneurship, the benefits and need to adhere strictly to economic development, job availability, modernization and industrialization through entrepreneurial development in South East Nigeria. The study reviewed several studies on entrepreneurial development in Nigeria, Africa and beyond. The study employs survey research design. The analysis employ mean scores and correlation tools to analyze the respondent questionnaire, in order to understand what the data is informing the researcher. The results show strongly agree and agree are significant with significant value of 0.000 and the mean score of 4.0 approximately, which implies that the alternative hypothesis will be accepted. Having assessed the study, the decision rule implies that entrepreneurial development has effective benefit to job availability in South East Nigeria.

Following the apparent rigorous recruitment process in the banking sector, which appears to conce... more Following the apparent rigorous recruitment process in the banking sector, which appears to concentrate on the Intelligence Quotient of applicants instead of the Emotional Intelligence level of the prospective employees, this study determined the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Employee Performance of selected Banks in Anambra State. Emotional Intelligence was decomposed with Empathy while Employee Performance was decomposed with Employee Turnover. The study employed a Correlation Research Design. Three banks were selected from the three senatorial zones in Anambra State for coverage. Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Co-efficient was used to analyze the data. Findings revealed that Empathy has a strong negative relationship with Employee Turnover. It is recommended that management should institute policies that will ensure employment of Emotionally Intelligent workers as well as create avenues within the organization that will enhance the inter-personal relations...

Family owned businesses (FOBs) contribute immensely to the economic growth of nations. However, j... more Family owned businesses (FOBs) contribute immensely to the economic growth of nations. However, just a very small percentage of these businesses survive after the death of their owner/founder. The major reasons for this huge failure rate were traced to lack of succession planning and the presence conflicts in the families of FOBs. Hence, this study reviewed conflict, its sources, causes, its management and preventive measures, the significance of sequence development and the role all play in the sustainability of FOBs. The study concluded that conflict definitely has a negative effect on FOBs if not handled properly and has a direct bearing on the sustainability of the businesses. Sequel to this, the study recommended among other things that negative conflicts should be carefully managed towards improving commitment and performance of FOBs.
