Giving credence to the Bible about the origin and nature of man, it was observed that “man and wo... more Giving credence to the Bible about the origin and nature of man, it was observed that “man and woman were made in the image of God with individuality, the power, and freedom to think and to do”. In their sinless state, they bore in their nature “conditional immortality” – dependent on their access to the tree of life and could reflect God’s moral character until sin came in and deadened this capacity.
It was also observed that there are varied views on the nature of man, ranging from “wholistic or monistic” views, to dualistic (dualism) and trichotomistic views.
The work reexamines the origin and nature of man, human nature, man’s tragic fall, and the hope in view for him.
