We've all experienced it.
The holier than thou LJ community moderator or blogger...
A pompous teenager who looks down their nose at you...
An uncalled for remark about your wardrobe...
The incompetent driver who cuts you off on the freeway and then has the nerve to glare at you!
In a nutshell - people in the world these days (be it LJ or IRL) rarely exhibit tact anymore.
Common courtesy and respect have taken a backseat to sanctimonious ego-monsters - which has sadly
evolved into a disturbing epidemic.
With growing technology and the internet consuming most of our days, one-on-one human interaction has become more and more limited. It seems almost as if it has become easier, and much more common place for people to disregard each other in a negative fashion, be it verbal or non-verbal.
We here at 
baby_got_tact are SICK and TIRED of that mindset.
We're taking back the controls in this tact war!
The purpose of this community is to serve as an airing of grievances of sorts. If you feel our pain and know where we are coming from - then you've come to the right place! If you have fallen victim to tactless behavior - whether its on an LJ community, or from a person you pass on the street - THIS is the place to get it all off your chest. Sharing is caring. We are here to listen.

This is not the community for those rejected from rating communities. Rating communities are ridiculous - and if you set yourself up for critique and disappointment - you should take it in stride.
Trolls and the like will be banned immediately, and the moderators of this community will NOT tolerate inane nor immature
banter or flame-wars. Keep it civil. If you are regularly found engaging in and/or contributing to this kind of behavior, we will not hesitate to permanently ban you from the communtity or report you to lj_abuse...We're supposed to be the ones with the tact...remember??
Submissions of etiquette and/or manner tips in the vein of Dear Abby are warmly welcomed.
