Larger Freedoms. Smaller Government.

Our Government was formed to protect our rights to life, liberty, and property. What we have discovered over the last two years is that in our quest for safety, for government to solve our problems we have turned over the control of our lives to unelected bureaucrats. It is time that we the people gain back control over our government. That is why I am excited to represent Kentucky.

Second Amendment

Protecting Your Right to Defend Yourself & Your Family

As we have seen a push from the federal government to take away rifles like my AR-15, we need state-level officials that are willing to stand up and defend your rights. We must have people with a backbone that are willing to stand on this issue more than ever.

Right now, the Biden administration is attempting to use your tax dollars as a carrot to force states to put in red-flag gun laws. As your State Treasurer, the moment any unconstitutional gun laws are put in place, I will immediately work to stop the funding.

Abortion

NO.

Ensuring that not ONE CENT of taxpayer money is spent on abortion is a top priority and responsibility that I will NOT give an inch on.

JP Morgan Chase has stated they will pay to transport unborn Kentuckians out of state to be murdered. The Kentucky state government holds billions of your tax dollars in Chase Bank. Why are we helping to bankroll abortions?

Pensions

It’s WAY Past Time to Fix the Pension System

The $44 BILLION unfunded pension liability did not go away simply because the governor doesn’t want to talk about his father’s failures.

You might be asking, “how have our pensions gone broke?” By having a Democrat State Treasurer that allowed Steve Beshear to raid pensions to fund his pet projects. After Beshear’s pirating of various funds, the Great Recession hit and our pensions have been in trouble ever since.

Government employees, including our brave first responders, deserve to have a reliable retirement not dependent on politics.

The State Treasurer sits on state pension boards ensuring proper fund management. Having a State Treasurer willing to do everything possible to defend our pensions is incredibly important in these troubling economic times. We made a promise to people, and we must follow through with it.

Inflation

We Must Get Spending Under Control

Our economy was set for a record rebound… and then Biden took office. The Biden’s inflationary policies and reckless spending are destroying our middle class and stealing wealth from hardworking Americans.

The damage our federal government has caused is unconscionable. We need State Treasurers across the nation to stand up and tell the feds they clearly cannot be trusted with the levers of economic power and they must return that power to American households.

Government is the problem—not the solution.

Immigration

No More Tax Dollars to Illegals

How much does illegal immigration cost Kentucky taxpayers in education, medical, and welfare expenses? This question needs to be answered and then addressed. Finding solutions to stop illegal immigration in Kentucky must a be a major focus of ours. As Biden funnels more and more illegal immigrants into Kentucky, we must find solutions to secure our state from the onslaught.

Corruption

Pay-to-play Politics Must END.

It is NOT the government’s role to pick winners and losers. Government regulations and licensing is a tool used to favor the large companies who can afford lobbyists and write policies that protect their market share from the small business owner. This transferring of wealth has to stop here in Kentucky. We should all play on an even playing field where the rules are not favoring specific players.

Legislators, bureaucrats, and governors have been enriching themselves and their friends at the expense of the taxpayer. It’s corrupt, immoral, and evil. As State Treasurer, we will take a deep dive and root out this behavior.

Taxes

Taxes are Getting Out of Control

Whether it’s the general fund, the SEEK fund, or the road fund, politicians seem to forget that ALL those funds come from the taxpayers’ pockets. No tax or license fee should be levied by unelected bodies and every increase should come with a vote. Kentuckians should be able to demand and hold accountable those who’ve been trusted with their money.

As State Treasurer, providing transparency and education on government overtaxation and overspending will be at the top of my priority list. Having a State Treasurer willing to push conservative fiscal policy has never been more important.

First Amendment

Protecting Your Right to Speak Out

The Constitution makes clear that it is not a limiter on the citizens of this country, but rather a limiter on what the government can do to its citizens. The First Amendment is about more than just free speech—it is about the right to petition your government for redress and the right to share viewpoints and ideas without facing retribution from your government. It is about the freedom to hold the views of religion and culture free of government discrimination.

We need a government that recognizes the importance of transparency and providing the opportunity for citizens to voice their grievances. As your State Treasurer, I will bring a new level of transparency to the office, allowing citizens to be informed and to voice their thoughts.

Light is the best disinfectant for corruption.

Small Business

Small Businesses are America’s Backbone

Being a small business owner myself, I am uniquely aware of the ups and downs, hard work, sacrifice, missed paychecks, unknowns, and the stresses that come with owning a small business. The last thing business owners need is the over-licensing and over regulating government that we have here in Kentucky.

I am aware that I pay sales tax, a yearly “government registration fee”, a city LLC fee, an additional tax tacked onto my utility bills, a grease trap tax, an alarm system tax, yearly inspection fees, payroll tax, paying for a payroll company because the laws are so complicated, city payroll taxes, property taxes, corporate income taxes, telecommunication tax, occupancy taxes, a myriad of licensing fees. All of which must be paid BEFORE you pay staff or yourself. Government shouldn’t be the business partner you never asked for.

Let’s make the Commonwealth the most small business-friendly state we can.

Education

It’s About Children

Nobody knows your children better than you do. Nobody knows your values like you do. Nobody knows what’s important for you family better than you do.

Our public system’s “one-size-fits-all” educational strategy is unable to address the variety of diversity, variety of needs, and values of every American family in this state. As a proud parent, I understand that no child is like mine, and the freedom to choose what is best for my family, as well as the freedom for you to choose what is best for yours, is what makes us Americans.[2]
